Matsumoto Gets a Fold from Kalas

Kane Kalas opened in the cutoff to 80,000 and got called by Naoki Matsumoto in the small blind.

The flop came Q♠7♠5♥ and Matsumoto check-called Kalas for 70,000. When the turn showed the J♠, Matsumoto led out for 80,000 and Kalas didn't take long to fold.

Petroni Doubles on Jenkins at the River

Short stack Giovanni Petroni moved all in from early position for 135,000. Action folded to Timothy Jenkins in the big blind who looked at his hand and smiled while shaking his head. Despite this, he called the three big blind shove.

There was no wonder Jenkins had a wry smile when he looked down at the worst starting hand in poker. Both players hit a pair on the K♥Q♦2♠ flop, but Jenkins improved further on the 2♦ turn to make trip-twos.

However, Jenkins suffered a suck out on the river as Petroni hit the K♣ to make an unlikely boat of kings full of twos to secure the double up.

Petroni dragged in the pot and quipped to Jenkins "You could have found the fold there!" with a beaming smile on his face.

Jimmy Setna raised from under the gun to 60,000 and got called by Ian Steinman in middle position to bring out a 4♥6♥9♣ flop.

Setna checked to Steinman who tossed out a bet of 85,000. Setna thought for a moment before calling to see the 10♦ fall on the turn.

Setna checked again and Steinman bet again, this time for 135,000. Setna, unconvinced, called again and watched as the Q♠ hit the river.

This time, action checked through to showdown with Setna saying, "Four," as he turned over the K♠4♠ as Steinman quickly tossed his cards toward the muck and conceded the pot to Setna.
