Check-Raise Takes it For Negreanu

Livello 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

The player in the cutoff raised to 3,000 and found one caller from the big blind in Daniel Negreanu.

Negreanu checked on the 4KJ flop and his opponent continued for 3,000. Negreanu then check-raised to 7,500 and the cutoff quickly folded — conceding the pot to Negreanu.

McKeehen Faces a Jam

Livello 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Picking up the action on the flop, Joe McKeehen on the button was involved in a hand with a player in the big blind. With the board reading 93J both players checked through to the turn.

The turn came 2 and the big blind checked again. McKeehen bet out 6,000 and was met by an all in from his opponent. The former WSOP Main Event winner did not take long to get out of the way, taking a small hit to his stack late in the day.

Andrews Forces a Fold From Saliba

Livello 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Justin Saliba opened to 3,000 first-to-act and was called by the player in the cutoff and Cherish Andrews on the button.

Action checked to Andrews on the 4K8 flop and she bet 5,500. Only Saliba called.

Saliba checked again on the J turn and Andrews sized up for a 22,000 bet. Saliba quickly folded and Andrews was sent the pot.

Weng Gives Up

Livello 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

A player opened to 3,000 from under the gun and was called by Bin Weng in the big blind.

Weng checked on the 7A3 flop and then raised to 10,500 after his opponent bet 3,000. The big blind made the call to send the action to the turn.

The 2 turn saw Weng continue his aggression with a bet of 10,000. Again, the big blind called.

Weng slowed down following the 8 river, checking to the big blind who pushed 24,000 into the middle. That bet got a snap fold from Weng who seemed in high spirits (perhaps related to his WPT success earlier in the day) despite losing a decently sized pot.

Kuznetcov Puts Andrews to the Test

Livello 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Picking up the action on the flop, Nikita Kuznetcov in the small blind was involved in a hand with Cherish Andrews on the button. With the board reading K25 Kuztetcov led out for 10,500 and received a call from Andrews.

Kuznetcov did not slow down on the K turn, instead barreling 30,000. Andrews thought for quite some time, counting out her stack and sizing up her opponent before eventually making the call.

On the 10 river Kuznetcov emptied the clip, pushing 100,000 into the middle, significantly more than Andrews had behind. The 2022 GPI Female Player of the Year thought for a few moments but ultimately decided to find a better spot and mucked her holding.
