Break Time

Livello 8 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The remaining players are now on a brief 20-minute break and will return to action soon.

The yellow 1,000-chips will also be raced off and colored up during this time.

Deeb Doubles

Livello 8 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

A short-stacked Shaun Deeb (try saying that three times) shoved from the cutoff, for his last 53,000. He was called by the player sitting under gun.

Shaun Deeb: AK
Under the Gun: A9

The dealer spread a board of 5J68K to give Deeb a sweat-free — and much-needed — double up.

Battenfield Battles for a Double

Livello 7 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

On a three-way flop of A75, the first player bet 18,000 and was called by Rellie Sigua and Christopher Battenfield.

But when the turn came the 8, somehow all the chips got into the middle between Sigua and Battenfield while the other player quickly got out of the way. The cards were then tabled in this big pot, with Segua barely covering.

Sigua proudly flipped over A7 for a monster two-pair and the nut flush draw but it was still currently in second place versus Battenfield's 69 for a turned straight. Battenfield also held two clubs that blocked Sigua's flush draw as an added bonus.

The river came the brick Q for Battenfield to scoop the pot for a big double while Sigua was left with only 18,000 and wound up busting a few hands later.

Xu Doubles Up

Livello 7 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Short-stacked Qiang Xu moved all in preflop and was called by Dong Meng to put him at risk of elimination.

Qiang Xu: QJ
Dong Meng: AQ

Xu needed some help to stay alive, and he sure got it on the flop of J35 to give him the lead with a pair of jacks. The board completed with a 87 runout and he was pushed the pot for a double-up.

David "ODB" Baker
David "ODB" Baker

With the hand already fully dealt and reading 910K69, David "ODB" Baker was all in and at risk, facing namesake Alexander Baker.

David Baker: 99
Alexander Baker: 1010

OBD had hit a one-outer, catching the case nine to leave the other Baker on fumes. He would exit the tournament a few hands later.
