Denny Chips Up with Top Pair

Livello 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

The pot stood at approximately 4,800 with two players looking at a board that read 29K10.

Ross Denny, in middle position, checked the action over to his opponent in the cutoff. Denny proceeded to raise a bet of 1,800 from the opposition to 4,200. The cutoff called.

The river fell the 10 and the hand checked to a showdown. Ross Denny tabled KJ which was good enough to secure this pot.

No Justice For Justice

Livello 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

After flopping quad deuces just three hands earlier, Daris Justice found herself on the wrong side of quads in a brutal cooler.

PokerNews caught up with the action as Tim Lee found himself all in on the river against Justice. The cards were tabled on a board that read 4J10QJ.

Daris Justice: QQ
Tim Lee: JJ

Justice's full house was no good against the quad jacks of Le. Le now found himself with two starting stacks on just the fourth hand of the tournament.

Curiosity Did Not Kill the Cat

When PokerNews arrived at the table the conversation was all about killing the cat and referring to a player that was playing too many hands. This player actually folded on this one so he got away after the flop.

The player under the gun raised to 400 and received a call from the cutoff. The small blind Jason Coursey had other ideas and three-bet to 1,000. The big blind, the player under the gun and the cutoff all called. The flop arrived with 58Q and Coursey made a continuation bet of 1,400. The big blind called and everyone else folded.

The turn brought the Q and Coursey bet 4,000 and the big blind called again.

On the river 10 Coursey continued with the aggression and bet 6,000 and the big blind made the third call and mucked when Coursey turned over the cowboys KK and won with his two pair.
