Mass Exodus on Table 135

Livello 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Scott Eskenazi and Nital Jethalal were all in and at risk against Christopher Vitch after the turn on a board of AJ39.

Scott Eskenazi: AKJ5
Nital Jethalal: A1092
Christopher Vitch: AJ52

The 2 on the river changed nothing and none of the players had a qualifying low. Vitch and Eskanazi chopped the high portion while Vitch claimed the remainder of Jethalal's stack.

However, soon after the same table lost Eskenazi and Damjan Radanov in quick succession and the table then broke with 56 players still in contention.

Simao Speeds Past Zamani

Livello 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Joao Simao
Joao Simao

Martin Zamani was facing a bet from Joao Simao on the turn of a board showing 22AK, taking some time before announcing a raise to 180,000.

Simao then took some time of his own before moving all in. Zamani made a quick decision, tossing his cards into the muck while urging Simao to show his hand.

After flipping over the Q and 9, Simao slid his remaining two cards forward and told Zamani to pick one. Zamani turned over the A as Simao collected a big boost to his stack.

Yu and Chidwick Chop a Pot

Livello 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Ben Yu raised to 16,000 and Stephen Chidwick defended the big blind. Both checked the 774 flop after a brief staring contest and Chidwick then led the 4 turn, earning a reluctant call from Yu.

On the 6 river, Chidwick bet another 40,000 and Yu came along. Chidwick announced ace-deuce-six and showed his A962 for sevens and sixes as well as the nut low. Yu won the high pot with the AAJ4 for trips fours to chop it up.

Michael Wang, who started the day second in chips, had previously been eliminated from the table while former big stack Allan Le dropped to a shorter stack.

Wilson Forces Fold From Smirnov

Livello 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

With three players seeing a 985 flop, action checked around to the J turn. Taylor Wilson bet 19,000 and was called only by the table chip leader, Anton Smirnov, from one seat over. That led to the K on the river, on which Wilson bet another 65,000.

Smirnov went deep into the tank and reluctantly folded.

Urbanovich Scores Improbable Scoop

Livello 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Dzmitry Urbanovich
Dzmitry Urbanovich

John Monnette fired a bet of 38,000 from the small blind on the 1027 flop, with Dzmitry Urbanovich making the call.

Monnette continued on the 3 turn and called instantly when Urbanovich committed the rest of his stack.

Dzmitry Urbanovich: A643
John Monnette: A622

Monnette's set of deuces on the flop left Urbanovich drawing thin, but he picked up the nut low and a wheel draw on the turn.

That draw was improbably completed on the 5 river, giving Urbanovich the scoop while leaving Monnette short.

Prociak Wins Three-Way Pot

Livello 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

An open raise preflop to 28,000 drew two callers, including David Prociak on the button. There was no betting on the 853 flop and the 3 turn paired the board. Two checks to Prociak triggered his bet of 68,000 and Stephen Deutsch was among the duo to fold as Prociak chipped up without a showdown.

The All-In Specialist Strikes Again

Livello 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Ky Nguyen
Ky Nguyen

On a flop of AQ4, Ky Nguyen was all-in for a mere 10,000 and looked up by Long Tran. Once the cards were flipped over, Phil Hellmuth bemoaned he had ace-queen-deuce.

Ky Nguyen: AQ94
Long Tran: A1082

The 2 turn and 4 river completed the board and Nguyen scored a full house. Another player at the table joked "the all-in specialist strikes again".

Not as fortunate was Allan Le, who had been eliminated a few minutes earlier from one table over.

Hoenig Catches Prociak Bluffing

Livello 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Ryan Hoenig raised to 28,000 and was called only by David Prociak as they headed to the K105 flop. Both players invested another 25,000 to see the Q turn and Hoenig checked. Prociak bet 100,000 for his opponent to check-call and the J river then brought a four card straight on the board.

Hoenig checked to Prociak who bet 140,000 and the former quickly called. The cards of Prociak were never exposed but Hoenig flipped over his AQJ6 for Broadway to rake in the pot in the last hand before the dinner break.
