Three ways to the 6♠6♦4♣ flop, Christopher Vitch checked from the small blind and Damjan Radanov moved all in for his last 8,000 in the big blind. Stephen Chidwick called from under the gun and Vitch came along.

All checked it down on a 5♥ turn and 2♠ river as Radanov tabled his A♠7♥3♠3♦ for the nut low and a seven-high straight. That scooped the entire pot as neither Chidwick nor Vitch could beat either of it.

Soon after, a table broke as Tsugunari Toma and Jake Liebeskind were eliminated to bring the field down to 64 contestants.

There always seems to be that one player on Day 1 of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event who runs into a brutal cooler or bad beat to bust early. On Monday, Idan The One, who hails from Israel, was that player.

The 2023 WSOP Main Event kicked off at noon PT from inside Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. At the time this article was published, more than 800 players already registered for the first of four Day 1 starting flights.

By the time the flop showed A♣7♣3♠, Warren Sheaves and Quentin Krueger had 30,000 in the middle already. Sheaves moved all in for another 65,000 on top and Krueger sighed.

"I hate being freerolled," Krueger lamented and eventually called to put Sheaves at risk.

With the blinds not moved up yet on their table, John Holley limped in and Dylan Weisman raised to 27,000 from two seats over. Holley called while he sat back down to start receiving a table massage.

On the J♠8♣6♣ flop, Holley check-called a bet of 20,000 and both checked the 2♥ turn before leading the 5♦ river for 78,000. Weisman folded and Holley raked in the pot.

The table no longer features Kosei Ichinose, who was recently eliminated.
