Nguyen Doubles Through Wang

Livello 13

Scotty Nguyen

Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Cards were on their back in an all-in hand between Scotty Nguyen and Yong Wang, with Nguyen the player at risk.

Scotty Nguyen: AA102
Yong Wang: KJ8Xx

Wang was ahead with a king-high straight on a board reading 9109Q, with Nguyen drawing very thin.

With one card to come, Nguyen would need to spike an ace or a nine to stay alive and to his surprise, and Wang's disappointment, the A hit the river, giving him the full house and the double-up and leaving Wang with less than starting stack left.

Diebold Saved by a Deuce

Livello 13

Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Kyle Montgomery raised 42,000 to put Benjamin Diebold all in, and he called.

Benjamin Diebold: A1042
Kyle Montgomery: AK82

The flop came out 637 and Montgomery was ahead with ace-king high and a 7x6x3x2xAx low.

The 8 gave Montgomery a pair of eights to move further out in front, but then a 2 river counterfeited Montgomery's low and gave Diebold a life-saving chop. "Found a deuce!" he said.

Pot-Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw

Greg Raymer raised to 4,000 from middle position and was called by Benjamin Miner on the button.

Both players drew two cards and checked the first round.

It was two cards again for both Raymer and Miner in the second round, but this time Miner bet the pot for 12,000 once Raymer checked a second time, with Raymer making the call.

Raymer stood pat on round three, after which Miner made the decision to draw one. Both players checked and Raymer showed down 8x7x6x5x2x, claiming, "I'm a nit, I'm easy to run over. I would've folded to a min-bet."

"Stop." said tablemate, Ryan Reiss, while Raymer scooped the pot.
