Smith Applies Big Stack Pressure to Marsico

Livello 16 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Four-handed on a flop of K10J, Anthony Marsico bet 105,000 from the cutoff and only Tyler Smith called in the small blind.

The turn came the 8 and Smith checked to Marsico, who bet another 300,000. Smith again called and the Q fell on the river.

Marsico fired 300,000 again and this time Smith put in a raise to 700,000. Marsico's cards instantly hit the muck.

Schindler Yoinked by Yankov

Livello 16 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Jake Schindler
Jake Schindler

Jake Schindler open-raised for the pot, 105,000 chips. Krasimir Yankov was in the hijack and was the only one to make the call.

The flop fell Q32 and Schindler led out for a pot-sized bet of 395,000, only leaving himself 135,000 behind. Yankov then raised to put Schindler all-in and Schindler called.

Jake Schindler: AAJ9
Krasimir Yankov: AKQ2

Schindler started with pocket aces but Yankov had outflopped him with two pair. No help came for Schindler on the 8 turn or 7 river and he was to be the latest casualty of the pot-limit Omaha High Roller.

Nguyen Fills Up on Stein

Livello 16 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Sam Stein was all in for 310,000 from the cutoff and up against Ky Nguyen in the hijack.

Sam Stein: KKJ8
Ky Nguyen: AAQJ

It was a classic aces versus kings cooler, and Stein fell further behind on the A510 flop as Nguyen hit top set. The 10 fell on the turn and Nguyen made a full house to leave Stein drawing dead and heading for the exit.

Lonis Still in the Lead

Livello 16 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

The action has slowed down somewhat and the field is down to the last seven tables with one of them about to break.

Jesse Lonis continues to be the current chip leader and just added some chips when he bet the KJ5KQ river for 210,000 on the button. Anton Morgenstern had checked from an early position and used one time bank extension before folding.

Limped Pot sees Loeffler Chip Up

Livello 16 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Tyler Smith limped in from the button and Kane Kalas called from the small blind. Kilian Loeffler then checked the big blind and the three went off to a flop.

On AQ6, Smith bet 40,000 once checked to and only Loeffler called. Smith then added another 65,000 on the K turn and once again received a call from Loeffler.

The river was the 5 and both players now checked. Loeffler was first to show and tabled AQ63 for aces and queens and raked in the pot.

Emmerson Next to Fall

Livello 16 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Robert Emmerson three-bet to 250,000 in the big blind and Dash Dudley called in early position. The flop came 82Q and Emmerson got his last few chips in the middle as Dudley snap-called.

Robert Emmerson: KKQ2
Dash Dudley: 10966

Dudley was on a straight draw and connected with the J turn to crack the kings of Emmerson. The river came an inconsequential A and Dudley, who finished second to Robert Cowen in this event last year, sent Emmerson to the rail.

Matakis Snaps Off Kenney

Livello 16 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Ian Matakis raised to 70,000 from the hijack and was called by Bryn Kenney on the button and Freddy Deeb in the big blind.

The flop came 1038 and Matakis continued for 90,000. Kenney then shoved all in for around 180,000, Deeb folded, and Matakis snap-called.

Bryn Kenney: JJ77
Ian Matakis: KQ108

Matakis had made two pair to outflop the jacks of Kenney and improved to a full house on the 10 turn. The river came the A and Kenney was eliminated, much to the delight of tablemate Shaun Deeb who had been verbally jousting with Kenney for much of the day.

Lamb Led to the Slaughter

Livello 16 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Ben Lamb
Ben Lamb

The action was caught once all the cards had already been dealt. Ben Lamb had gone all-in at some point and Danny Hannawa was the one that put him at risk.

Ben Lamb: QQJJ
Danny Hannawa: AA9Xx

The completed board read K4897 and Lamb had received no help to crack Hannawa's aces. He left the tournament area as his table was getting ready to break afterward.

Isaac Haxton was also at the now broken table and he was seen leaving with nearly a million chips in his rack.
