Estes' Squeeze Gets it Done

Livello 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

JJ Liu opened to 17,000 from early position and was called directly behind by Scott Fitzhugh. Action folded around to Michael Estes in the big blind and he reraised to 71,000.

Liu let her hand go after a bit of thought and Fitzhugh quickly followed though — conceding the pot to Estes.

Bronshtein Doubles Through Edwards

Livello 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Yuval Bronshtein
Yuval Bronshtein

After a raise in early position by Paul Edwards to 12,000, Yuval Bronshtein three-bet from the small blind to 40,000. Edwards called and the duo saw a flop.

It came QJ4 and Bronshtein bet 110,000, leaving just 6,000 chips behind. After a bit of thought, Edwards made the call to put Bronshtein at risk.

Yuval Bronshtein: AA62
Paul Edwards: A854

Bronshtein's aces were well ahead of Edwards' pair of fours and backdoor flush draws. The K on the turn gave Edwards some hope, but the 9 on the river ended that, sending the double up to the always dangerous Bronshtein.

Baumstein Folds to Samson

Livello 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Scott Baumstein opened to 12,000 from the hijack and was called by Joseph McCarthy in the big blind.

Both players checked on the 9Q7 flop and A turn; however, McCarthy fired 15,000 into the middle when the J completed the board.

Baumstein thought for a while before landing on a fold and McCarthy took down the pot uncontested.

Nick Guagenti

Nick Guagenti raised to 12,000 on the button and got calls from Michael Six in the small blind and Jeremy Brousseau in the big blind.

The players checked the A83 flop, and the blinds checked the 8 turn as well. Guagenti then bet 24,000, which got a fold from both opponents.

The pot gets Guagenti back on the right track after losing about a quarter of his chips in the early stages of the day.

Bustamente Doubles Through Jordison

Livello 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

A sizeable pot of over 100,000 had been built before the dealer spread a flop of K96.

Jordison moved her remaining stack of approximately 70,000 forward from the cutoff, just covering Bustamente who called.

Bryant Bustamante: AA52
Angela Jordison: KQJ10

Bustamente was ahead with his aces versus Jordison's pair of kings, and the 38 runout brought Jordison no further help, leaving her on fumes.
