John Taylor
John Taylor

Steven Stolzenfeld limped in the small blind and John Taylor raised to 2,200,000 out of the big blind. Stolzenfeld called and they were off to a flop.

The 34J hit the felt and Stolzenfeld check-called a 2,500,000 bet from Taylor. The turn brought a J and action slowed down and checked through.

The 8 landed on the river and Stolzenfeld only thought for a moment before putting out a large bet of 8,500,000.

Taylor only thought for a moment before flicking in a chip for the call. Stolzenfeld tabled 65 for a missed straight draw and Taylor tabled AA to scoop a massive pot. Taylor is now chip leading.

Guay Over-Bet Jams River

Livello 36 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

In a heads-up pot with roughly 3,000,000 in the middle on a board showing 532A, John Taylor bet out 1,300,000 from the small blind and David Guay raised to 5,100,000. Taylor took a few seconds, but eventually made the call.

On the 4 river Taylor checked to Guay who announced all in, just barely covering the stack of Taylor, who went deep in the tank. After close to two minutes, Taylor folded and the pot was shipped to the Canadian.

Action was opened to 1,200,000 from the button by current chip leader Steven Stolzenfeld. David Guay called out of the big blind.

The Q32 flop hit the felt and Guay check-called an 800,000 continuation bet from Stolzenfeld. The 5 landed on the turn and Guay check-called a healthier bet of 3,200,000.

The river then landed a Q and Guay went into the tank. He thought for almost three minutes before putting out a bet of 3,100,000.

Stolzenfeld mulled it over for another three minutes before announcing all in and putting out chips. Guay snap called.

Stolzenfeld tabled QJ for rivered trips and Guay tabled 64 for a turned straight to take a huge pot off the chip leader and move back into contention.

Action folded to Steven Stolzenfeld on the button who opened to 1,100,000. Next to act in the small blind was Romain Kowalczyk who put in a three-bet to 3,750,000. Stolzenfeld called.

The flop landed 95Q and Stolzenfeld check-called a 2,250,000 bet from Kowalczyk. The 7 turn landed and Kowalczyk led for 4,500,000. Stolzenfeld called again.

The 3 landed on the river and Kowalczyk only took a moment before announcing all in. It seemed that before the words were even out of his mouth Stolzenfeld had his chips in the middle and quickly tabled 68 for the stone cold nuts.

Kowalczyk would flash AK before it hit the muck. Kowalczyk would finish in 5th place after an incredible run.
