Following a successful Grand Prix Turbo Series Montreal earlier this month, Global Poker announced that it will run the Summer Series IV right in time for all of the summer's poker action.
The Summer Series IV will take place June 26-July 9 and will feature several Gold and Sweeps Coins events. The series will have GC 630,000,000 in total prizes guaranteed and 28 Gold Coin trophies and SC 1,260,000 in total prizes guaranteed and 28 Sweeps Coin trophies.
The biggest draw of the series will be the GC and SC Main Events on July 9, which will feature respective guarantees of GC 630,000,000 and SC 1,260,000 across four events. The Prog Bounty, Super Deep Main Events will kicks things off before the regular Super Deep Main Events later in the evening.
Players are currently enjoying their 75-minute dinner break.
Cards will be back in the air around 6.05 p.m. local time
The Super Seniors event has already broken records today, but it has reached a new landmark smashing through the 3,000 mark.
The vast majority of this year's tournaments at the World Series of Poker have had record-breaking fields, which indicates the upcoming Main Event will be the biggest one ever.
Dan Heimiller has been eliminated from the Super Seniors after running into a full house.
Heimiller came close to grabbing his third bracelet in the Seniors Championship yesterday in one of the most entertaining final tables of the summer so far, eventually succumbing to the winner Lonnie Hallett and finishing in 3rd place for $356,166
It remains to be seen if Heimiller will fire a second bullet.

The under-the-gun player bet 1,000 and was met with a raise to 5,000 from early position. Jerome Dean in the cutoff raised to 15,000 which got under the gun to fold and a call from early position.
The flop came J♠7♠2♦ and the early position player moved all in for 12,000 and was quickly called by Dean.
Early Position: Q♦Q♠
Jerome Dean: A♦A♠
Dean was a beneficiary of a cold deck and the J♥8♣ completing the board did not help the early position player who headed to the exit.

A player limped in middle position and was paid three times: by the button and the small blind, and by the big blind who only had to check and the blinds.
On Q♦6♠6♣, the initial raiser continued to 1,600. But this time, only Dalton Dawkins in the small blind called. The A♥ landed on the turn. But this card froze the action as both players checked.
On the river 4♠, Dawkins took the lead, betting 3,500. His opponent called but couldn't do much against Dawkins' set with J♠6♥.

The 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) kicked off back on May 30, and now bracelet winners are being minted every day. The PokerNews Live Reporting Team has been busy capturing all the action in our live updates, and they’ve witnessed some hands go down that proved to be either entertaining, game-changing or just flat out brutal.
Among those to play big hands were Poker Hall of Famer Erik Seidel, Thomas Eychenne, Shannon Fahey, and Robert Williamson III. There were some truly bad beats in big spots that you don't want to miss.
