Cowen Gets Value with Bottom Straight

Livello 2 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

On a completed board of 6QJK8 with three players still involved, Robert Cowen led out for 17,000 into the pot of 21,600.

He received a fold from the first player but then the action was on Greg Levine who thought about it for a few seconds before he tossed in some chips to make the call.

"Straight," Cowen announced as he tabled 10972 for the bottom end of the straight, which proved to be good as Levine quickly tossed in his hand.

On a flop of 479, Patrik Jaros led out for 10,000 and was called by Espen Myrmo to his left and the two went to the turn J.

Shuda Fades the Hearts

Livello 1 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

On a three-way flop of 49A, Gregory Shuda, in the big blind, bet 20,000 into the pot of 30,800 and was called by Aaron Mermelstein from under the gun. Gergo Nagy, in early position, thought about it briefly but decided to let it go and the two players went heads-up to the turn 7.

Shuda then bet the pot for 70,800 and Mermelstein decided to make the call and the duo saw the 6 fall on the river.

Shuda checked over to Mermelstein, who quickly checked back and Shuda tabled AA105 for top set and his opponent quickly mucked to award him the pot.

"You had hearts?" Shuda asked him, relieved to come out a winner.

"Yes," Mermelsetin replied as he shook his head.
