Record Breaking Field Already Set in Day 1 of $10,000 PLO Championship.
Day 1 of Event #50: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship 8-Handed drew 688 entrants by the end of Day 1, already surpassing the record attendance for this event of 683. The final attendance is expected to smash the previous record given that registration will be open until the start of Day 2 at 2:00 p.m. local time, Thursday June 22.
Daniel Aharoni bagged the biggest stack of the night, ending with 535,000 chips and surpassing Johann Ibanez (484,500) who was chip lead for most of the later levels of the night. Other notables advancing to Day 2 include Bryce Yockey (479,000) Sean Winter (223,500), Alex Foxen (135000), Ren Lin (150,000) and Hustler Casino's Wesley Fei (315,000) who mentioned that he had only learned how to play PLO three days ago.

Notables who failed to advance to Day 2 include Scott Seiver, Daniel Negreanu, Chris Moneymaker, Dylan Linde and Fernando Habegger.
According to the tournament board, 266 entrants from the original 688 will return at 2:00 p.m. local time on June 22 to battle it out for Omaha supremacy. Blinds will start on Day 2 at 1,000/2,500 with a 2,500 big blind ante, meaning that last-minute entrants will begin with 24 big blinds.
