Amin Mostafavi Eliminated in 11th Place ($58,744)

Livello 35 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Amin Mostafavi
Amin Mostafavi

Dan Heimiller limped from the hijack, as did Amin Mostafavi in the small blind. Lonnie Hallett in the big blind checked their option.

A monotone flop of J93 encouraged Mostafavi to bet 1,500,000. Hallett folded and Heimiller asked how much Mostafavi was playing. Mostafavi cut out their chips so Heimiller could assess easier. The 2014 seniors champion announced all in and was called by Mostafavi quickly.

Amin Mostafavi: J3
Dan Heimiller: Q9

Heimiller was concerned that Mostafavi had a flush, but still had trepidations when they tabled two pair. Heimiller needed a queen or a diamond to take the lead, which he got on the 10 turn to get a flush. The A completed the board and Mostafavi bubbled the final table.

Dan Heimiller opened to 1,000,000 in middle position and David Allison three-bet jammed a stack of around 4,500,000 from the small blind. Heimiller called with a bigger stack.

David Allison: 55
Dan Heimiller: AK

It was a fair fight until the flop landed JQ10 to give Heimiller Broadway and nothing changed on the 710 runout to send Allison out in 12th place for $46,664.

"It's my lucky day — hopefully it's my lucky day," said Heimiller.

Billy Baxter

David Stearns bet 1,000,000 from the hijack and Billy Baxter in the big blind moved all in for 5,575,000. Stearns went deep into the tank and cut out his chips in a multitude of ways before eventually making the call.

Billy Baxter: AQ
David Stearns: 99

Stearns was ahead and was still after the K76 flop. However, the 6 turn produced a backdoor flush draw for Baxter. The 10 completed the flush for Baxter who secured a massive double-up.

The Poker Hall of Famer quipped "It was time for me to get some chips or go home!" He got his chips and is now in strong contention for his first bracelet in 21 years.

Two For Baxter

Livello 34 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Billy Baxter
Billy Baxter

Billy Baxter open-jammed a short stack in early position and action folded to Albert Riccobono in the big blind. "You know everyone is rooting for you, Billy. I'll even be rooting for you if I call," Riccobono said before folding.

The next hand, Ron Fetsch opened to 900,000 from the hijack and Baxter called in the big blind.

"I thought you were gonna ship it," said Fetsch.

"No, I didn't have that good of a hand," replied Baxter.

The flop landed 598 and Baxter pushed his stack into the middle. "Well, I guess I gotta ship it now," Baxter said.

Fetsch folded and Baxter tabled a flopped straight draw with 107.
