2023 World Series of Poker
Limit 2-7 Triple Draw
After Johannes Becker raised under the gun, Matthew Ashton three-bet in the hijack. Becker called and then drew two cards, while Ashton took one.
Becker checked to Ashton, who bet, but then Becker came back with a check-raise. Ashton was having none of that however, putting in a third bet, which Becker called.
The players then patted their hands and Becker then check-called another bet from Ashton.
They patted again on the final draw, and once more Becker check-called a bet from Ashton.
"Eighty-five," declared Ashton, which was music to Becker's ears as he fanned 7x6x5x4x2x to beat Ashton's eight-perfect and take the pot.

Elior Sion raised and earned a call from Kristopher Tong in the cutoff. Josh Arieh then made it three bets on the button and Sion moved all-in for 92,000 total. Tong called the all-in to then also call a reraise by Arieh for another 25,000 on top.
On a flop of A♠Q♣6♣, Tong check-called a bet by Arieh and proceeded to do so again on the 4♣ turn and 10♠ river.
Arieh exposed his A♦K♣10♣3♥ for the king-high flush while Tong flipped over 5♣4♥3♦2♦ for the nut low.
Sion briefly tossed his A♣A♥J♠5♥ for a set of aces to the middle of the table before heading to the rail.

Daniel Alaei raised to 30,000 on the button and earned a call by Chris Klodnicki in the big blind. That led them to the Q♣7♦4♦ flop on which Klodnicki opted to check. Alaei bet 35,000 to earn a check-call and the 2♦ followed on the turn.
Klodnicki checked again and then folded when Alaei made it 85,000 to go.

Eric Wasserson: Q♣8♠4♥/4♦2♥A♦4♠
Matthew Ashton: K♥K♣J♠/J♣7♥2♦K♠
Talal Shakerchi: 8♦XxXx/A♣2♠5♦7♣
After Eric Wasserson completed, Matthew Ashton made it two bets to go, which Talal Shakerchi called, as did Wasserson to put himself all in.
On fourth and fifth streets, Ashton called bets from Shakerchi, and then they checked sixth street. Ashton bet seventh and got a call from Shakerchi.
Wasserson was hopeful that he'd survive with his trip fours for high, but that was crushed by Ashton's full house to eliminate Wasserson, while Shakerchi's low got him that half of the pot.

Eric Wasserson: XxXxXx/4♥A♥9♥A♠
Brian Rast: 7♣6♦3♦/4sks5hac]
Talal Shakerchi: XxXxXx/7♥3♣9♦9♥
Rast would control most of the betting with Wasserson putting in a raise on sixth street and both Rast and Shakerchi making the call.
Wasserson and Shakerchi both checked seventh street to Rast, who bet, with Wasserson calling and Shakerchi folding. Wasserson saw the bad news as Rast completed his straight to scoop, leaving Wasserson with dust.

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better
Dzmitry Urbanovich opened from under the gun and was called by Josh Arieh in the big blind.
Arieh checked following the J♥5♦8♥ flop and then raised after Urbanovich continued. The Polish pro did make the call to send action to the turn.
The 3♣ turn saw Arieh continue his aggression with another bet. Again, Urbanovich called.
On the 6♠ river, Arieh pushed one last bet into the middle and then showed down 10♠10♦7♠4♣ after he was called. Urbanovich took a few moments to study the board and Arieh's hand before mucking his own.

John Racener: XxXx / 4♠A♣K♣ folded on fifth street
Maxx Coleman completed with a six and then called a raise by John Racener, who bet his lead on fourth and was called. Coleman paired his jack on fifth street and Racener sigh-folded.
John Racener: XxXx / 10♦Q♠9♠6♣ folded on sixth street
Hal Rotholz: XxXx / Q♦3♣Q♣Q♥
Racener completed with a ten and called a raise by Hal Rotholz from the next seat. Racener check-called a bet and then called on fifth street when Rotholz picked up a pair of queens to bet with. On sixth street, Rotholz made open trips queens and Racener snap-folded.
"That's just like the last hand where he had nothing," Racener groaned.

James Obst: A♠5♥2♦/2♥Q♥8♥8♠
Nacho Barbero: Q♣6♠5♦/7♠3♣Q♦10♥
James Obst defended his bring-in to a completion from Nacho Barbero, then check-called a bet from Barbero on fourth street.
After taking over the betting lead on fifth street, he bet that street as well as sixth, getting calls both times from Barbero.
On seventh, Obst bet a final time, prompting Barbero to stand and examine his opponent's board more closely. He shuffled his hole cards in his hands and bemoaned the fact that he started seven-six-five-three on fourth, suggesting he didn't have a low and his high hand was marginal.
After some further thought, Barbero literally kissed his chips goodbye and tossed them in. Obst showed his two pair of eights and deuces to beat Barbero's pair of queens to scoop the pot.

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw
Phil Ivey opened from the cutoff and was called by Phil Hellmuth in the small blind as well as John Monnette out of the big blind.
Both Hellmuth and Monnette took two cards on the initial draw while Ivey opted for one. Action then checked to Ivey who bet and received two calls.
The second draw saw Hellmuth and Monnette repeat their previous drawing pattern but Ivey chose not to take a card. Ivey then bet again after Hellmuth and Monnette checked. Neither player was going anywhere just yet as they both called to keep it a three-way hand heading to the final draw.
On the last draw, Hellmuth and Monnette took one card. Ivey again stood pat before betting after both of his opponents checked to him. That got a quick fold from Hellmuth but Monnette took a moment before ultimately deciding to let his hand go to send another pot Ivey's way.
