It has been nearly one year since Scotty Robinson played poker in Las Vegas. The family man and father of three, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, makes it a yearly trip to go with his wife and three children.
Last summer while Robinson was playing in the series, he received the call that his youngest son, Chance Robinson, was diagnosed with Leukemia. His son was admitted to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and has been undergoing treatment for the past 11 months. Chance's improvement has been good and he is looking to do two more years of less intense treatment for dealing with the cancer.
Scotty Robinson is now back in Vegas for the first time and donning a St. Jude's Children's Hospital shirt with a goal in mind — to donate some of the winnings to St. Jude's and hoping that others may help not just Chance "The Napper" Robinson, but all children going through sickness.
Speaking of St. Jude, you’ll also want to mark your calendar for September 7-9, 2023, which is when the CSOP will partner with St. Jude for Viva St. Jude at Resorts World. It’ll be a weekend filled with golf, fashion, food, and poker. The St. Jude charity poker event has a long history and is one of the biggest and best in the world!
