Decarolis Coolers Haxton to the Rail

Livello 12 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Alfred Decarolis
Alfred Decarolis

Isaac Haxton just spun up a short stack to over 3,000,000 chips, but in a matter of one hand, they were all gone again. On a board of AQ104, Haxton was heads-up with Alfred Decarolis and they quickly got all of their chips in the middle on the turn.

Haxton turned over AQ for two pair and a flush draw while Decarolis showed KJ for a straight and a lesser flush draw. The river was the 2 and Decarolis held on to eliminate Haxton in a massive cooler.

After the hand, Phil Ivey just sat with a smile on his face as he and Decarolis shared a laugh.

"How did you do that?" Koray Aldemir questioned as well.

Hellmuth Blows Up After Paying Off Kornuth

Livello 12 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Chance Kornuth opened to 100,000 in the cutoff and Phil Hellmuth called on the button before Martin Kabrhel also called out of the big blind.

"If he's in, I'm in," Kabrhel said after Hellmuth called.

Kabrhel checked on the flop of 9KK and Kornuth continued for 85,000. Only Hellmuth called. Kornuth then checked on the 5 turn and Hellmuth checked back.

Kornuth bet 385,000 on the 7 river and Hellmuth quickly called as Kornuth turned over Q9 for a pair of nines.

"This f***ing guy," Hellmuth muttered as he held up what he said was ace-high. "F***!"

Hellmuth had to stand up and step away from the table and was still ranting several minutes later as Kornuth finally broke composure and burst into laughter.

"I kept it together as long as I could," said Kornuth.

Ivey Doubles Through Kim

Livello 12 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Action folded around to Phil Ivey on the button, who open-shoved his remaining 1,315,000 chips into the middle. Brian Kim reshoved all in from the small blind with the larger stack, forcing a fold from the big blind and taking on Ivey heads up.

Phil Ivey: K10
Brian Kim: AJ

A flush would be no good for Ivey, as Kim had the higher diamonds, but it wouldn't matter as the dealer turned Ivey's gin card in the form of the K on an eventually completed board of 695K8, giving Ivey the full double-up.

David Einhorn opened to 160,000 from under the gun and Martin Kabrhel three-bet to 500,000 in the small blind. Einhorn four-bet shoved all in for 2,025,000 and Kabrhel asked for a count before making the call.

David Einhorn: AJ
Martin Kabrhel: AK

Kabrhel was in a dominating position with the better of the two aces. The board ran out 107485 and Einhorn was unable to find any help on the runout.

Chidwick Doubles Through Bailey

Livello 13 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Stephen Chidwick raised to 160,000 from middle position and was called by Dustin Bailey in late position and Artur Martirosian on the button.

Chidwick led out for a bet of 170,000 on a flop of 6AJ and was called by Bailey, while Martirosian folded.

The two players would go heads up to the 9 turn, with Chidwick continuing the pressure in the form of a bet of 575,000. The response from Bailey was to raise enough to put Chidwick all-in, which Chidwick called immediately.

Stephen Chidwick: JJ
Dustin Bailey: KQ

Bailey would need a ten or any diamond to outdraw the set of jacks of Chidwick, but it would not come to pass as the dealer put out the A on the river, giving Chidwick the doube-up.

Kulev Shows Negreanu the Bad News

Livello 13 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Alex Kulev raised to 160,000 in the hijack and Daniel Negreanu just flat-called in the cutoff. The flop came J1010 and both players checked to the 5 on the turn.

Kulev made a large bet of 400,000 on the turn and Negreanu stuck around to see the 8 on the river. Kulev announced "all-in" and Negreanu went into the tank with around 1,440,000 in front of him.

After a minute, Negreanu said "call" and Kulev tabled Q10 for trip tens. Negreanu threw his AJ in the air and headed for the exit.

Chidwick Eliminated by Martirosian; Martirosian Crosses 10-Million Chip Mark

Livello 13 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

PokerNews picked up the action with Stephen Chidwick in the small blind, faced with a decision for his tournament life after Artur Martirosian bet 2,000,000 on the river from early position, enough to put Chidwick all-in, on a board reading 47J24.

Chidwick would take ample time before tossing in a single chip to signify the call.

Stephen Chidwick: AJ
Artur Martirosian: KK

Unfortunately for Chidwick, his top pair with an ace kicker wouldn't be enough to overcome the pocket kings of Martirosian, sending him home for the day.

Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Henrik Hecklen raised to 160,000 in early position and was called by Phil Hellmuth in the cutoff and Martin Kabrhel in the big blind. The flop fell J77 and Kabrhel led out with a bet of 310,000. Hecklen quickly folded but Hellmuth called to see the 3 on the turn.

Kabrhel announced another bet of 445,000 and Hellmuth thought for a minute before shoving all in for 920,000. Kabrhel quickly called and the cards were face up.

Phil Hellmuth: 88
Martin Kabrhel: 75

"Nice hand, Martin," Hellmuth said as he stood up.

"It's not over yet, Phil," Kabrhel responded.

The river was the Q and Hellmuth instantly took off for the doors with his hands flailing in the air.

Bailey Off to Roulette

Livello 14 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Dustin Bailey
Dustin Bailey

Dan Smith raised it up from under the gun and Dustin Bailey just called on his left. Artur Martirosian was next to act and three-bet to 800,000. Smith just called and Bailey jammed all in for 3,550,000. Martirosian reshoved all in and Smith contemplated for a moment before folding.

Dustin Bailey: A10
Artur Martirosian: JJ

The flop came 1094 and Bailey flopped top pair but Martirosian was still in the lead with his pocket jacks. The 5, 5 runout changed nothing and Bailey was eliminated.

"Have a good night guys. I can go play roulette now," Bailey said on his way out.
