Martini Climbing Off the Short Stack

After being down to 300,000 chips after dropping back-to-back pots to Oscar Johansson and Benny Glaser, Julien Martini was down to 300,000 chips, but a recent pot with Michael Rodrigues has seen him get some back.

Rodrigues raised under the gun and got three-bet by Martini in the hijack. Rodrigues called and drew two while Martini stood pat.

Rodrigues then check-called a bet and drew two again, while Martini remained pat.

He check-called another Martini bet after the second draw, this time only needing one card versus Martini's still pat hand.

The players checked after that final draw with Martini showing 9x7x6x4x3x which would be the winner as Rodrigues flashed several low cards which included a pair of fives.

Julien Martini raised from the hijack, Benny Glaser called from the small blind and Sampo Ryynanen called from the big.

Everyone drew two on the first draw and action checked to Martini, who bet. Glaser then check-raised and Ryynanen folded. Martini called.

Glaser and Martini both took one off on the second draw and Glaser checked to Martini, who bet. Glaser again check-raised and, undeterred, Martini made it three bets to go. Glaser called.

On the final draw, Glaser stood pat and Martini drew one. Glaser checked once more and Martini bet. Glaser then check-raised a third time, which sent Martini deep into the tank.

Martini studied Glaser for some time before eventually deciding to let his hand go.

"The trifecta," said Glaser as he collected the pot.

Baker Rebuilds With A Three Bet

After Sampo Ryynanen opened in early position, he was met with calls from David "Bakes" Baker in the cutoff and Joao Vieira in the big blind.

Each player drew two and then Vieira led out with a bet. This was quickly raised by Ryynanen, and then three-bet by Baker.

Vieira folded, but Ryynanen called and patted his hand. Baker decided to draw one and then faced a bet from Ryynanen.

Baker called, and again drew one after Ryynanen remained pat.

Ryynanen then checked and now faced a bet from Baker who was on a very short stack at this point, which Ryynanen elected to call.

Baker showed 8x7x5x3x2x, which was the winner to rebuild and leave Vieira as the table short stack.

Glaser Approaching Three Million

Picking action up after the first draw in a three-way pot between Joao Vieira in the big blind, Benny Glaser under the gun, and David "Bakes" Baker in the cutoff, Vieira checked to Glaser, who bet and got called by Baker.

Vieira than check-raised, which got calls from both opponents. Vieira patted his hand while Glaser drew one and Baker drew two.

Vieira led out with a bet which was called by Glaser, but Baker folded to leave the pot heads-up to the final draw.

Both players now stood pat and Vieira checked to Glaser who placed a bet. Vieira then check-raised again, leaving Glaser with a decision.

After about a minute in the tank, Glaser flicked in a call and was pleased with what he saw.

Vieira showed 8x7x6x4x2x, but Glaser had him pipped with 8x6x4x3x2x.

Glaser would add more chips shortly after, taking a pot from Michael Rodrigues after getting three bets in pre-draw and then getting a bet on the first and second draws before Rodrigues folded to another bet after the third draw.
