2023 World Series of Poker
Already more than 30 players have cashed in the fifteen minutes of hammer and tongs action since the bubble burst, and short stacks look to make their move. In one such battle, Vincent Moscati called Will Berry's 18,000 button raise preflop, and then shoved all in on a Q♦K♦J♥ flop.
Will Berry: 6♥5♥3♦2♦
Vincent Moscati: K♠10♠Q♥7♦
Moscati led on the flop with two pair, kings and queens and a wrap redraw. But the 10♦ turn gave Berry a flush and left Moscati drawing to a full house. The 3♠ bricked those hopes, doubled up Berry, and left Moscati with a very short stack.

Tommy Le raised to 12,000 in the hijack and only the big blind made the call.
The dealer spread a flop of 9♣6♠5♥ and the big blind quickly check-folded to the continuation bet of 10,000 from Le.
Le flashed him the 9♥ and chuckled while saying, "That's just one card."

In 2020, Kenneth Po stone bubbled this exact same event.
It looked like history may repeat itself:
Po was down to 2.5 big blinds, with only 10,000 in chips and 2 from the money. By the time hand-for-hand play started he was down to just 4,000 chips, which was one big blind and 5 hands before being forced all-in blind.
He managed to survive the bubble as there was only one hand during the hand-for-hand period. Shortly after the bubble burst, he found himself all-in with aces and couldn't hold as his opponent ended up making two pairs with Ax10x6x4x on the Q♥6♥4♥K♠5♦ run out.
Po cashed in 200th place, for $2,402 and avoided the repeated bubble.
After calling a 30,000 bet on a 2♦9♠3♣ flop from big blind Andrew Seabright, Bianca Jacobs moved all in on a 5♦ turn, and Seabright called.
There was tension in the room as all 205 remaining players wondered whether Jacobs would be the one to burst the bubble and vault them into the money.
Eventually their cards were allowed to be turned over.
Bianca Jacobs: A♠2♠6♥4♥
Andrew Seabright: J♥10♥7♦6♦
Jacobs had made her straight on the turn, but Seabright still had outs to a flush and the higher straight. Which is just what happened when the 8♥ spiked the river, momentarily devastating Jacob.
However, after getting everything had been sorted out, it was determined that instead a hand-for-hand process, Jacob's was the first cash of the day, and all the remaining players are in the money!

Wai Ngai was seen all-in on the J♦8♠2♠ flop with a pot of about 50,000 on the bubble. The play was paused, waiting for the floor to come to the table and watch the runout. Eventually, the floor came and told both players to table their hands.
Wai Ngai: A♠K♠Q♥J♣
Opponent: Q♦10♥8♦6♣
Ngai flopped top pair, with a straight and flush draw, and the 9♠ turn meant he was not leaving the table as the K♦ completed the board.

Until the bubble bursts, the players will be playing hand for hand.
Vladimir Kendenkov went all in for 40,000 from the cutoff and a player who requested not to be named called from middle position.
Vladimir Kendenkov: A♦A♥K♣10♠
Middle Position: 9♥2♠J♠Q♠
The flop ended whatever suspense there had been almost immediately on a flop of A♠K♥4♦. As the dealer rolled over the coffin-nail 9♣ and then 6♠ Kendenkov began yelling out "Zanasee! Zanasee!" which he explained later is "Get over here!" in Russian. After the chips in the pot had indeed come to him, he thanked his opponent. "Thank you for doubling me up on the bubble!"

On the A♦10♥9♠4♥ turn, Ryan Coon bet the whole pot of 88,000 and Christian Harder paused for about 20 seconds before re-raising. Coon had a total of 119,000 and snap-called.
Ryan Coon: A♠A♥8♠6♦
Christian Harder: J♠J♣10♣10♦
Coon had flopped set over set and avoided the bad beat as the 3♣ completed the board on the river.
