Michael Moncek: 5x3x2x / 4x8xJx6x
Brian Yoon: 3x4x5x / 2x10x8x3x
Michael Moncek called a bet by Brian Yoon on sixth and then raised on seventh street when Yoon bet again, who rolled over his eight-five. Moncek slowly grabbed his down cards to then reveal a six-five and rake in the pot which left Yoon somewhat confused.
Yehuda Buchalter: XxXx/9x2x6x4x/Xx
Daniel Zack: XxXx/5x2x4x5xfolded on sixth street
Connor Drinan: XxXx/9x5x7x3x/Xx
Drinan completed, with Buchalter and Zack calling. Drinan then led out on fourth street after a check by Zack, with both players calling.
Action checked around on fifth street before a bet from Buchalter got a fold from Zack on sixth. Buchalter bet once more on seventh street and was called. Buchalter turned over Ax7xXx for a seven-six, and Drinan eventually mucked.
Roy Thung: Kx7x5x / Ax3xQx2x
Carlos Chadha-Villamarin: XxXx / 7x10x9x10x / Xx
Steve Zolotow: XxXx / 2xKx10xKxfolded on sixth street
In the final hand before the break, former chip leader George Alexander had taken a hit when Steve Zolotow rivered a nine-six. Zolotow was in the next hand as well in which Carlos Chadha-Villamarin bet as of fourth street, earning calls from Zolotow and Thung.
That remained to be the case on fifth street before he paired his ten. Thung bet sixth street for Chadha-Villamarin to call and Zolotow folded. Thung bet again seventh and Chadha-Villamarin was disgusted. "You were drawing dead and got there?" he inquired.
Chadha-Villamarin paid it off and was shown a seven-five, which Chadha-Villamarin concluded with "yeah, you were dead".
Talal Shakerchi: XxXx / 7x9x4xAx / Xx
Brad Ruben: XxXx / 8x2x4x8x / Xx
Brad Ruben bet his lead on fourth and fifth street before he paired the eight on sixth. Talal Shakerchi checked to him and called a bet before checking again seventh. Ruben bet once more to force a fold and flashed his 7x6x for a made eight-seven.
Tam Hang: Ax2x / 5x9x7x8x / Xx
Hal Rotholz: Ax2x / 7x5x3x3x / Ax
Shortly after the elimination of Vasilis Lazarou, Hal Rotholz took on Tam Hang and bet his advantage on fourth street for Hang to call. They checked on fifth street. Hang check-called sixth and did so on seventh to get shown ace-deuce in the hole for a seven-five. "I also had ace-deuce," Hang replied without disclosing his cards.
Moments later, a short-stacked Jeff Madsen departed from one table over as the field plummeted to 29 hopefuls in the third level of the day.
Gary Benson: XxXx/8x10x6x8x/Xx
Jeff Madsen: XxXx/7x10x5x2x/Xx
Jen Harman: XxXx/Ax2xAxfolded on fifth street
Benson completed before Madsen raised. Harman called, and Benson went all in for just 1,000 more, which was called by his opponents.
Harman bet on fourth street and was called before folding to a bet from Madsen on fifth.
Madsen showed 6x3x and had a seven-six before looking at his last card (which was a copy 3x). Benson showed 3x6x and was already leaving the table before getting his final 3x.
Vasilis Lazarou was also seen exiting the tournament.
Gary Benson: 4x5x / 6xAxJx3x / 4x
Jen Harman: XxXx / 8xQx4xKxfolded on sixth street
Michael Moncek: 2x8x / 3x10xQx10x / 9x
Gary Benson had been left with just 5,000 in chips after folding in the previous hand and was then all-in on third street while Jen Harman and Michael Moncek played a larger side pot. Moncek's bet on sixth forced out Harman and the cards were flipped over.
Moncek ended up improving to a ten-nine but Benson had already locked it up with a six-five to stay alive.
