The River Changes Everything

Livello 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Taiki Nakano raised in early position and was reraised by a player in late position. By the end of it, both had their stacks in the middle preflop.

Taiki Nakano: KK
Late Position: AQ

The flop was in favor of Nakano when it fell 469, leaving the late position player looking for only two aces. His wish came true as the A peeled on the turn. However, fortunes turned when the K came on the river, awarding Nakano the pot and a full double.

His opponent was left with crumbs and he promptly shoved on the next hand with A9 and was called by the A8. Again, this player was given a breath of hope when a nine hit he flop. His hopes were dashed when his opponent made a straight on the river.
