Michael Carey and Jason Lipiner were both short and forced all in on third street against Takashi Ogura.

Carey and Lipiner were both drawing live until seventh street, where Ogura made a ten-eight, while Carey couldn't make his draw to a seven, nor could Lipiner make his draw to a nine.

Lipiner was the shorter stack to start the hand, so he finished in 19th place while Carey took 18th.

Marco Johnson: 10x5x2x/Ax8xAx4x
William Burke: 5x3xXx/6x6x9xAx

Several bets were already in the middle on sixth street with each player showing a pair on board. Marco Johnson had the lead and bet, which got a call from William Burke.

On seventh street, Burke accidentally checked thinking he was first to act, but then faced a bet from Johnson, who still had the betting lead. Burke called to see Johnson's eight-five for the winner. Burke flashed two of his hole cards which made a nine-six, then sent them into the muck.

Liberto Moving Up the Leaderboard

Livello 25
Justin Liberto
Justin Liberto

Justin Liberto: 9x2xAx/4x6x4xJx
Rafael Concepcion: XxXxXx/Ax6x9x6x
Adam Owen: XxXx/Kx - folded bring-in

After a short-stacked Adam Owen folded his bring-in to leave Justin Liberto and Rafael Concepcion heads up, Concepcion bet fourth and fifth streets, getting calls on both streets from Liberto.

On sixth, after picking up a jack to take the lead when Concepcion paired his six, Liberto check-called another bet from Concepcion.

"Chasing me down, hey," commented Concepcion before seventh street was dealt.

On seventh, Liberto now led out with a bet which Concepcion called.

Liberto showed a nine-six that he made on the end.

"Nice catch," said Concepcion as he tossed his cards to the muck.

The pot is the latest in a series that have gone to Liberto to put him near the chip lead.

Adam Owen moved all in on third street for his last 30,000 chips and Rafael Concepcion made it two bets to fold out the bring-in.

Despite both players getting horrific runouts, somehow Owen's was even worse, making three pair, while Concepcion took down the pot with just a king-ten low.
