Eveslage Overbets Like a Chadpion

Livello 19

No-Limit Hold'em

Marco Johnson opened from the hijack and Chad Eveslage defended out of the big blind with a few friends on the rail holding a massive poster featuring Eveslage's 2021 bracelet winner's photo and the words "Play Like a Chadpion."

Eveslage checked on the 844 flop and called a bet from Johnson. Both players then checked on the 7 turn.

The 8 river double paired the board and Eveslage took the opportunity to overbet 150,000 as Johnson entered the tank. Johnson thought it over for several minutes and eventually folded.

Small Pots On Table 144

Livello 19

Big O

Ryan Goindoo raised to 30,000 and was called by Zack Freeman on the button. They checked the JJ2 flop and Goindoo bet the 7 turn to win the pot.

Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Freeman then opened to 27,000 and Goindoo defended the big blind. On a flop of 864, Goindoo checked and subsequently folded when Freeman continued for 25,000.

Dirksen Gets a Shove Through; Boyd Doubles Through Eveslage

Livello 19
Dutch Boyd
Dutch Boyd

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Ryan Goindoo raised to 40,000 on the button and Zack Freeman three-bet to 160,000 in the small blind. Chip leader Dustin Dirksen then moved all-in from the big blind and Goindoo folded, while Freeman was stunned for a second.

"No Limit Deuce they call it, baby" Dirksen exclaimed. Freeman mulled it over for a minute and folded.

Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Right after that hand had concluded on the other table, Dutch Boyd on the button and Chad Eveslage in the big blind got into a raising war with the former at risk preflop for 419,000.

Dutch Boyd: A962
Chad Eveslage: AAK10

The J87 flop gave Boyd plenty of outs to scoop and the 10 turn was among those. He still had many outs to dodge as Eveslage held the nut flush draw and a gutshot broadway draw to scoop.

The board completed with the 5 and Boyd earned the full double.

Jordan Siegel Eliminated in 10th Place ($25,822)

Livello 19
Jordan Siegel
Jordan Siegel

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Dustin Dirksen opened to 30,000 as the first player to act and Jordan Siegel three-bet all in for 83,000 from the cutoff. Zack Freeman then four-bet to around 300,000 from the small blind and stood pat as Dirksen folded.

Siegel groaned as he considered breaking his hand with his kids sweating the action from the rail.

"Can you at least show my son your hand?" Siegel asked Freeman. "He probably won't even understand it."

Eventually Siegel stood pat with 98742, but it wasn't enough to beat the 98632 of his opponent as he joined his son and daughter behind the ropes.

Eveslage Cannot Bluff Engel

Livello 19

Badugi

Having defended the small blind against a button raise by Ari Engel, Chad Eveslage check-called a bet prior to the final draw. Both discarded one card each and Eveslage then bet. Engel quickly called to see his opponent flash the A4 with a smirk on the face.

Engel revealed 10 / 52A for a three-card five and that won the pot.

Freeman Scoops Dirksen

Livello 19

Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Zack Freeman raised to 27,000 for the second hand in a row and Dustin Dirksen called in the cutoff. They checked to the KJ473 river on which Freeman checked the third street in a row. Dirksen bet the pot and was called to reveal the 5542 for a pair of fives and seven low.

Freeman turned over the AQJ2 and Dirksen was expecting a chop, asking "you don't have a high?" before he realised the error, as he was in fact scooped.

Goindoo Folds Out Siegel; Hennigan Stays Afloat

Livello 19

Big O

Ryan Goindoo opened to 50,000 from the cutoff and table short stack Jordan Siegel defended out of the big blind.

Siegel checked on the 1093 flop and Goindoo continued for 60,000. Siegel called. Siegel checked once more on the 7 turn and folded when Goindoo fired a bet of 150,000.

Earlier, John Hennigan managed to triple his stack in a 2-7 Triple Draw hand against Siegel and Dustin Dirksen and later check-jamming on Goindoo on the river of a Big O hand.

Paul Volpe Eliminated in 11th Place ($25,822)

Livello 19

No-Limit Hold'em

Much to the surprise of everyone else at the table, Chad Eveslage selected No-Limit Hold'em instead of his usual Badeucey and then raised from under the gun. Paul Volpe called out of the big blind. On a flop of 1093, both invested 55,000 and that led to the 6 turn on which Volpe checked.

Eveslage bet 160,000 and Volpe called after short consideration, then checked the 5 on the river. With the superior stack, Eveslage pushed all-in and Volpe called within fewer than five seconds.

Eveslage tabled the 33 for a set and Volpe mucked the AA to bow out in 11th place.

"For the first time in his life, he calls NLHE and hits a set in the first hand ..." Marco Johnson stated in table chat. Mike Gorodinsky chimed in "that's really scary, man ... really scary".

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Dustin Dirksen won two pots in Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw including a three-bet to 200,000 against John Hennigan, who folded and was shown the 7x6x3x2x by Dirksen.

Up next, it changed to the Limit variant and Dirksen raised from under the gun. Hennigan three-bet and Zack Freeman four-bet out of the big blind. Both Dirksen and Hennigan called and they each discarded one each. "That's a fair fight," Dirksen continued his very chatty behaviour of the last few minutes.

They checked again to the second draw and repeated discarding one each, checking again to the final draw on which they all took one new card. Freeman was the only one to check-call a bet by Dirksen, who won the pot with the 9x8x6x3x2x.
