Abdo Nails Two Outer to Double Through

Livello 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Finding himself far behind the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} held by his opponent on a board of {Q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, Greg Aldo needed a miracle to arrive on the river if his {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} was to overcome top pair.

The dealer slowly peeled the {9-Diamonds} on the river and Aldo spiked a two-outer to stay alive as Day 2 of this $1,000 NL Hold'Em event continues.

Turner Time Yet Again

Livello 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

In what was already a sizeable pot preflop between two of our bigger stacks, David Peters checked to Jon Turner who bet 15,600 on a {J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop. The big blind called and the {K-Diamonds} got checked through. On the {10-Spades} however, after Peters checked, Turner kicked it into high gear and bet a massive 42,000. After giving it some thought, Peters mucked and Turner catapulted all the way up to 170,000 while Peters dropped to 127,000.

Eames Creams Opponent

Livello 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

We just saw a player with barely under 50,000 all in on a {J-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop against John Eames. Eames held middle set with {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} while his opponent had {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} for top pair and an inside straight draw. The {5-Spades} turn and {K-Spades} river provided no help for the player and Eames took him out and built his stack to 153,000.

After Noah Bronstein opened from the button, Kathy Leibert three-bet and Bronstein four-bet to put Liebert all-in.

The highly successful tournament pro made the call and showed down {Q-}{Q-}, but found that she was in bad shape against Bronstein's {A-}{A-}.

The final board brought no ladies and now this event has one less lady as well. Liebert was eliminated while Bronstein built a sizable stack to wield at tonight's feature table.

Kings Into Aces for Young

Livello 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Facing an under the gun raise to 5,500, Jordan Young three-bet to 12,700 from the hi-jack. With the action back on the original raiser, he moved all in for 43,400 and Young made the call.

Young: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Clubs}{A-Spades}{J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{8-Spades} to see Young's cooler force him to slip to roughly 147,000 in chips.

Kuether Sliding

Livello 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

On a board of {2-Spades}{J-Spades}{6-Hearts}, a player in middle position checked, prompting a 12,000 bet from Joseph Kuether. His opponent tanked hard but then announced, "All-in!" and slashed his stack of approximately 40,000 into the pot. Kuether didn't waste much time mucking his hand.

Kuether is down to about 42,000.

With a raise to 4,200 ahead of him, David Chicotsky three-bet to 20,000 from the small blind only to have the big blind jam all in for 70,000. The original raiser folded, but Chicotsky made the call for his 30,000 total.

Chicotsky: {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Big Blind: {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}

The board ran out {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{5-Spades} to see Chicotsky exit to the rail.

Aces for Neilson

Livello 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Daniel Neilson had an opponent all in preflop with his {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades} dominating the {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} of the at-risk player.

The {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}{K-Diamonds} board would ensure Neilson bumped a player to the rail while simultaneously moving to 84,000 in chips.

Phan Slips

Young Phan entered the pot for 5,500 only to have the cutoff raise to 13,000. Phan made the call to see a {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop land with both players checking.

The turn of the {A-Clubs} saw Phan check again, and when his opponent pushed out 20,000, he went into the tank before eventually opting to muck his hand.

Following that small hiccup, Phan is now down to under 100,000 in chips.
