Hand #274: Staszko Check-Raises the River
Pius Heinz had the button, and he switched his raise back to 4.2 million. It was no matter to Martin Staszko, and he called to see the flop. Heinz continued out with 5 million, and Staszko called to see the on the turn. It went check-check this time, and the filled out the board. Staszko checked a third time, and Heinz decided a river bet of 8.5 million was in order. Surprisingly, though, his opponent clicked it back, making the minimum check-raise to 17 million total. Heinz sat back in his chair a bit now, and it became clear that he did not like his spot. After just a minute, he slid his cards back to the dealer with one finger.
