Eoghan O'Dea is no stranger to poker. He is the son of bracelet winner and poker veteran, Donnacha O'Dea, who has World Series of Tournament results dating back to 1983, including his win in the 1998 Event #5 $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha for $154,800.
Donnacha defeated a field of 183 players to claim that title, beating out none other than Johnn Chan in heads-up action. O'Dea, who hails from Ireland, went on to become the first member of the European Poker Players Hall of Fame. Needless to say his son, Eoghan, comes from a family with a strong poker legacy and is no doubt living up to the O'Dea name with his deep run in the Main Event.
