Garry Gates raised to 22,000 from early position and cleared the field all the way to Andrew Rosskamm in the big blind. Rosskamm chose to exercise his option with a three-bet to 87,000, which Gates saw fit to call. When the flop fell , RossKamm wasted little time in moving all in for 200,000 and Gates made the call.
Showdown
Rosskamm:
Gates:
Rosskamm was at risk, but he held the best hand; however, Gates could catch either a seven, queen, or ten to take the lead. The dealer burned and slowly turned the , a blank as far as Gates was concerned. Again the dealer burned and put out the river . . . .
Gates missed his draws to drop to 720,000 while Rosskamm doubled to nearly 600,000.

We missed how it went down preflop, but the important part is that Alex "AJKHoosier1" Kamberis got his last 140,000 into the middle preflop against Magnus Persson. Kamberis was at risk, but his had him poised to double through Persson's .
The first four cards on board were safe for Kamberis ( ), but the river was cruel. The fell, and Kamberis could not fade the two-outer. He sat there in stunned silence for just a moment, then gathered his things and headed for the exit.

Lipkin led with a bet of 36,000, then Bellande made it 136,000 to go. Lipkin waited a short while, then declared he was all in for his last 250,000 or so. Bellande quickly called.
Lipkin:

Both players had king-high straights, but Bellande was freerolling with his flush draw. The dealer burned a card and dealt the river -- the ! The crowd here at the main feature table reacted audibly with a roar in response to the sight of Bellande's flush, and the two players shook hands before Lipkin left the stage.

On the turn of a board, we watched the final betting actions of Josh Kay's day. It was Paul Spitzberg who did the first betting, and Kay raised in position. Spitzberg shoved, though, and Kay was put to the test for about 500,000 chips he had behind. He called after some time, and the news was not at all good.
Showdown
Kay:
Spitzberg:
Two pair versus two pair, but it was Spitzberg with a hammer lock on the pot. Poor Josh Kay had to wait about four minutes for the cameras to assemble around the table, and the river finally put him out of his misery.
With that pot, Paul Spitzberg puts his name among the chip leaders. He's got about 1.8 million, and he's having a hard time stacking them. In a case of the "sick brag", he spoke up. "This is my only problem with tournament play. When I do well, I can't handle all the chips in front of me." There were a few hushed looks of disdan from the shorter-stacked players at the table, but Spitzberg is a likable guy over there, the chatty one at the table.

A swarm of ESPN cameras rushed over to the table where Daryl Jace is residing, so we went to go see what was going on. Jace was in a hand where he had called the all in of Joshua Pollock, who had just over 100,000 left. The cards were tabled, and Jace was in great shape to score another knockout.
Jace:
Pollock:
The cameras set up for their shots, and the dealer put out a flop of . Jace was still well in the lead, and the on the turn changed nothing. Pollock would need a miracle on the river, and he didn't get it, as it came the . Pollock was eliminated, while Jace takes the chip lead in the room with 2.4 million.
