We've got one level in the books here on Day 1c, and we've already got quite a lot of interesting stuff going on. Well over 2,000 people have taken the felt, and we've got a full house in both the Amazon Room and the Pavilion. We were treated to a quick comedy routine on the podium to start the day, we've got several Main Event champions who chose today to play, we already saw ol' kings-into-aces-in-the-first-hour cooler over in the Blue section, and they're selling beer like hotcakes over at the Miller Lite booth.
We need a break. It'll be twenty minutes to start, and then we're going to have a bracelet ceremony here in the Amazon Room immediately thereafter. We'll see you back here in about a half hour for another level.
From the UTG +1 position, Matt Hawrilenko raised to 250 and the action folded to another player in middle position, who made it 775 to go. Hawrilenko called, then both players checked the flop of before Hawrilenko bet 1,050 on the turn of the . The middle position player called, then Hawrilenko checked his option on the river , only to fold after his adversary opened for 1,500.
As Hawrilenko went to muck his hand, he flashed , but his opponent reciprocated, showing before the dealer pushed the pot. Phew!

The action folded around to Sorel Mizzi who raised from the button before the player in the small blind re-raised; the big blind folded, but then Mizzi four-bet it to 2,350. The small blind called and then both players elected to check the flop of .
The small blind checked again on the turn of the , which saw Mizzi open for 2,000 before the small blind check-raised to 6,000. Mizzi flat-called and both players checked the river of the before the opponent tabled . Unfortunately for him, Mizzi had , so he wasn't getting any part of that pot.

Chad Brown raised to 250 from middle position, the cutoff called, and the player on the button re-raised to 1,125. Action folded back around to Brown who called while the cutoff got out of the way.
The flop came and Brown checked. The button bet 1,300 and Brown wasted little time in tossing in the chips to call. Both players checked after the fell on the turn and again after the came on the river.
Brown flipped over his for a turned set of nines and the other player mucked his hand. Brown's stack was up to 33,500 after the hand.

Not a lot of noise from the main feature table during the first level of play. Defending champion Jonathan Duhamel has lost a few chips in the early going, and presently sits with about 23,000.
Michael DiMichele has also gotten off to a slow start. Just now he was trying to get things going with a raise to 250 from the cutoff, getting one caller in William Kassouf from the button. The flop came , DiMichele checked, then quickly folded to Kassouf's bet of 550.
DiMichele has just over 22,000 at present.
You may not have heard the name Braden Murphy, but the 21-year-old is making his mark here in the WSOP. Born with cerebral palsy, Murphy traveled across the United States as a wheelchair billiards player before turning his hand to poker. Despite his struggles through childhood and undergoing an operation to have his spine fused in 2007, his bubbly personality and his passion for the game shine through.
He's even blogging his adventures here in the WSOP, but the PokerNews team are keeping an eye on him too; five players, including Murphy, limped into a pot before the dealer spread a flop of , which they all checked before the turn of the .
The action checked around to Murphy who bet 225 from the button, but only the UTG player called before he and Murphy checked down the river . Murphy showed and the UTG player mucked his hand.
