The Trantum Menace

Livello 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Kenny Tran was tanking on the river of a {Q-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{J-Hearts} board when his opponent bet 11,000 into a 14,000 pot. Tran took full use of his time before eventually opting to muck his {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} face up though his opponent refused to show back.

Lingering Lamb

Livello 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Ben Lamb bet out from late position to make it 400 preflop. The big blind was the only one willing to pay to see a flop, so both players were awarded a {6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop. It was here that both players opted to check.

The {8-Diamonds} on the turn brought a bet from the big blind for 800, and a call from Lamb.

The river {k-Diamonds} lead to the big blind checking and Lamb firing out 2,000. Lamb's opponent made the call and was showen {A-Clubs}{k-Clubs} for two pair kings and eights. Lamb's opponent summarily mucked.

Timex Wins, Despite the Dealer's Belief Otherwise

Livello 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

A four-way flop of {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} was checked to Mike McDonald who bet 1,225 with only the small blind calling. The {K-Hearts} came on the turn and now the small blind led out for 2,250 and McDonald made the call as the {3-Spades} paired on the river.

The small blind check-called a bet of 4,800 from "Timex" and turned over {K-Spades}{J-Hearts} for two pair but the Canadian had {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for a better (and rivered) two pair. However the dealer mucked his hands and the floor had to be called so that McDonald's ace-queen could be retrieved from the muck allowing him to scoop the pot.

D’Angelo Delivering

We caught up with the action on an {A-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Clubs} board where Ryan D’Angelo check-called a bet of 7,600. Both players checked the {8-Clubs} river and D’Angelo revealed {K-Clubs}{K-Spades} for the win when his opponent mucked. The pot leapt D’Angelo up the leaderboard.

Moreno Moves Out

Livello 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

We missed the hand that did him in, but when we went over to Andrew Moreno's table, we saw that his seat was empty, his seat card was in front of the chair, and the floor came over and pulled the chair away, making the table nine handed. Moreno has been knocked out, ending his 2011 WSOP.

Kickin' It with Kenney

Action folded to the button who raised to 600. Both Tyler Kenney in the small blind and the big blind called. The flop came {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, Kenney checked, the big blind bet 1,200, the button folded, and Kenney called. Both players checked after the {10-Spades} came on the turn but when the {4-Diamonds} fell on the river Kenney took the lead betting out 3,600. The big blind decided to fold and Kenney won without a showdown.

Smith Needs A Boost

Justin "Boosted J" Smith was just at the wrong end of the dreaded Aces vs. Kings preflop cooler. As we walked over we heard the cry of all in and a call and saw that Smith held {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}, but was dominated by his opponentns {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}. The flop gave Smith no help, coming {4-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Spades}. The turn was paint, but it was the {j-Spades}, giving both players a flush draw, with Smith having the weaker one. The river came the {a-Diamonds}, and Smith shipped over half his stack over to his opponent, knocking him down to just over 10,000.
