Shak Ships It Against Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth opened for 1,900 from early position and action folded around to Dan Shak on the button, who announced he was all in. Both blinds folded and action was back on Hellmuth, who began grinning sheepishly.

"Remeber I'm willing to go all in with both blinds still behind me," Shak said.

"I know Dan, I have a big pair," Hellmuth replied. "I know you've got ace-king, kings, queen, or jacks."

Hellmuth continued to tank as the media swarmed around his table.

"I guess I'm just not that kind of player," Hellmuth said. He then folded {10-}{10-} face up.

"You were right the first time," Shak said, revealing {A-}{K-}. "Next time I'll have the jacks."

"Next time, I'll have the aces," Hellmuth replied.

Hellmuth is down to 10,000 while Shak is back up to 110,000 after taking a large hit earlier in the level.
