Burner Blasting Through Table

With Karen Manfrede bet preflop, we saw Dale Burner make the call to see a {A-Spades}{2-Spades}{k-Clubs} flop. It was here that Manfrede bet and Burner called.

The {9-Diamonds} on the turn brought checks from both players.

A river {10-Diamonds} lead to Manfrede checking and Burner putting out a bet. Manfrede called and showed {K-}{J-}. Sadly a pair of kings was not going to be enough to win this pot as Burner held {A-}{4-}.

Dale Eberle Wins Table In Dominating Fashion

When we came back from the dinner break, Dale Eberle started with a commanding chip lead on his table and he never let up. Now, only 35 minutes into Level 15, he has won his table and earned the first spot on tomorrow's final table. As the players at his table had been complaining the entire level, "You always have it man, it's unreal."

We came in when Todd Witteles was down to 18,000 and David Speicher was down to 10,000.

Eberle in the small blind raised it up and Witteles in the big blind re-raised with Eberle calling. The flop came down {k-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Clubs} Eberle checked, Witteles bet, and Eberle called.

The turn came {10-Clubs} and Eberle bet out with Witteles calling. The river was the {6-Spades} and Eberle bet out again and Witteles put in his last 2,000 chips and Eberle instantly turned over {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Witteles' head fell to the table and he flipped over his {a-}{8-}. Witteles was knocked out and Eberle went heads-up with Speicher

Two hands into heads-up play, Speicher got his last chips in preflop and was called by Eberle. Speicher had {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Speicher had {a-Spades}{j-Clubs} After the cards were flipped over Speicher said, "I have you dominated right now, and that kind of worries me."

Sure enough, the flop came {2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and Speicher just laughed, the turn and river came {4-Diamonds} and {3-Clubs} and Witteles who was still standing on the rail said, "That's as fitting an end as we could've expected."

The two heads-up opponents shook hands and Eberle gets to call it an early night in preparation for tomorrow's final table. We still only have one other heads-up table so there is still plenty of time before we know who will fill out the last nine spots.

Slow and Steady Siegal

Jeffrey Siegal
Jeffrey Siegal

Jeff Siegal bet in first position, action then folded around to Stephen Bass in the big blind who made the call. A flop of {9-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs} was spread out. We then saw Bass check-call a bet from Siegal.

On the {j-Clubs} turn both players checked.

The river {A-Hearts} brought a bet from Bass and a call from Siegal. Siegal stated "you probably have me" and Bass countered with "I doubt it" and flipped over {J-}{10-} for a pair of jacks. Siegal then tabled {A-}{3-} for a pair of aces which was enough to take down the pot.

Borteh Busted

Being short stacked Alexander Borteh raised under the gun, and action folded around to James Cohn in the big blind who two bet. Borteh called and liked what he saw on a {6-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop because he came out betting after Cohn checked.

With the {9-} on the turn Borteh bet again, putting himself all in. Cohn made the call and flipped up {A-}{K-} for ace high. Somehow Cohn was ahead, because all Borteh was able to produce was {A-}{4-} for ace high with a worse kicker. The river {8-} changed nothing and Cohn won the hand.

Katchalov Gettin Low

Livello 5 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Eugene Katchalov opened from the button and found one caller in Markus Herbel from the big.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs} and both players checked. Both checked again on the {6-Clubs} turn. However, Herbel led out on the {J-Hearts} river. Katchalov callled and Herbel tabled {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for the straight. Katchalov mucked and is down to just 30,000.

Nettles Gets the Best of Kwon in Back-to-Back Hands

Livello 5 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

In the first hand, Christoph Kwon raised out of the small and Luke Nettles flatted from the big. The flop came {4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Kwon flung in a bet. Nettles raised and Kwon immediately re-raised. Nettles called. Nettles then called a bet on both the {2-Diamonds} turn and {Q-Spades} river. Kwon flipped his hand over in defeat, showing {7-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Nettles tabled {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a pair of nines and dragged the pot.

In the very next hand, Kwon raised from the button and Nettles re-raised from the small. Lew folded in the big and Kwon called. The flop came {Q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Nettles led out. Kwon called. Nettles fired another bet on the {3-Hearts} turn and Kwon again called. However, Kwon folded when Nettles fired again on the {3-Diamonds} river.

Nettles has chipped up nicely since being on the verge of elimination. He is up to 60,000.

"I Got an Ace!"

Todd Witteles put out a bet and was called by Dale Eberle preflop. On a {3-Hearts}{A-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop Eberle check-called a bet from Witteles. The {8-Clubs} on the turn lead to another bet from Witteles and a raise from Eberle. After Witteles called we got to see the {k-Hearts} on the river where both players checked.

Eberle declared "I have an ace!" with some confidence and showed {A-}{5-}. Witteles responded with "so do I" and flipped over {A-}{J-} for a pair of aces with a better kicker.
