We came upon a hand between Isaac Haxton and Ludovic Lacay on the river, at which the board showed and there was around 5,000 in the middle. Haxton checked, and Lacay pushed out a bet of 3,750. Haxton studied for a beat, then stacked up and set out a column of 7,325 chips, leaving himself just over 1,000 behind.
Lacay sat back in his chair and smilingly expressed frustration at Haxton's play. "Sick," said Lacay, still grinning and shaking his head. Finally after a minute he made the call, and Haxton quickly flipped over for the nut flush. Lacay nodded and mucked.
Lacay still has about 22,000, while that pot takes Haxton up to about 21,000 himself.
