Adeniya Alive After All-in Against Ausmus

Livello 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu opened with a raise to 18,000 from middle position, then Martins Adeniya, sitting to Negreanu's left, shoved all in over the top for about 120,000. It folded to Jeremy Ausmus in the big blind who reshoved all in his entire stack of about 250,000. Negreanu thought a moment, then shrugged and folded his {9-}{9-} face up.

Adeniya then showed {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and Ausmus {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. "Wow," said Negreanu. "You saved me," referring to Ausmus and his isolating-reshove. "Unless a nine comes, of course."

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Spades} and the turn {K-Clubs}, and Adeniya's jacks were still best. Negreanu's words must've been lingering in his brain, though, as the river brought the {9-Diamonds} and a visible reaction from Adeniya. "No, no, that's me," Negreanu said with a laugh, and Adeniya admitted he'd mistakenly thought for a second the nine had sunk him.

But Adeniya survives, now with 256,000. Ausmus slips to 136,000, while Negreanu hovers around 270,000.

Filtz Claims Another Victim: Jaka

Massimiliano Martinez started the action, raising to 18,000 from under the gun. It folded around to Justin Filtz, who three-bet to 60,000 in the small blind. Faraz Jaka moved all in for around 300,000 in the big blind, and Martinez went deep into the tank.

After nearly two minutes, Martinez folded, and Filtz made a quick call.

Jaka: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Filtz: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Jaka remained ahead when the dealer fanned {4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, but the {q-Clubs} on the turn gave Filtz a leading pair of queens. The {5-Hearts} bricked on the river, and Jaka was eliminated from the tournament in 28th.

Break Time

Livello 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Our 30 remaining players are taking the last 20-minute break of the evening. They'll return for one more level before we call it a night.

Ainsworth Bests Jaka

Faraz Jaka opened to 13,000 near the button, and Jude Ainsworth three-bet to 30,000 from the blinds. Jaka called.

The flop came down {4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, and Ainsworth led out for 43,500. Jaka called.

The turn was the {k-Clubs}, and Ainsworth led again - this time for 62,000. Jaka called.

Both players checked after the {10-Hearts} fell on the river, and Ainsworth opened up {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a pair of tens. Jaka mucked his hand in frustration, and Ainsworth picked up the pot.

Duhamel and Schleger Chop, Survive

Livello 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Jonathan Duhamel, down to a well-below-average 175,000 pushed all in from late position, and Shane "Shaniac" Schleger -- also short with just 145,000 -- called from the blinds. Duhamel showed {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} and Schleger {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}.

"You have the advantage," said Daniel Negreanu, pointing toward the 2010 WSOP Main Event champion. Then came the {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop. "No, you have the advantage," he revised himself, pointing now to Shaniac. But the turn {7-Hearts} ensured there would be a chop.

"Good hand," said Duhamel to Schleger afterwards. "I didn't like it," said Schleger. "Spades are scary."

Duhamel is still hovering under 200,000, and Schleger remains with a little over 150,000.
