Schulman Slips

Livello 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Nick Schulman has just doubled up an opponent after a preflop clash.

Schulman: {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Opponent: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

With Schulman seeing 53,000 of his chips enter the pot, the {6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Clubs} board wasn't a favorable one as he was left with just 26,000 in chips.

Lee Can't Pull the Trigger

Livello 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

When we caught up with the action, the big blind player bet 13,500 into Bernard Lee on a flop showing {7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Lee asked his opponent how much he had left and made the call.

The turn brought a {4-Spades} and Lee's opponent fired again for 19,500, sending Lee deep into the tank. Lee cut out what looked like a raise to approximately 70,000 and riffled his chips for quite some time before eventually mucking.

"Nice hand," Lee said, who currently stands at 160,000.

Vedes Vanquished

Livello 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Facing a raise to 6,500 from middle position, Tommy Vedes pushed all in from the hi-jack for 25,500. The preflop raiser paused slightly before making the call to put the WPT Champion at risk.

Vedes: {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Opponent: {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Unfortunately for Vedes, he would be unable to survive this race as the {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Hearts} board was spread to end his tournament just shy of the money.

Ace-High Win for Dyer

Livello 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Greg Dyer entered the pot with a raise to 7,500 only to have the player on the button push for 41,000. Dyer made the call.

Dyer: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs} to see Dyer eliminate his opponent and move to 235,000 in chips.

Bari Picks One Up

Livello 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

From the cutoff seat, Allen Bari raised to 6,000. Bernard Lee flatted on the button and then the big blind called as well. The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and action checked to the preflop raiser. Bari fired 7,500 and that was good enough to win the pot.

Bari's up to 92,000 in chips now.

Straight for Staudenmaier

Livello 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Luke Staudenmaier limped in from the small blind only to have Michael McClain up the ante to 8,000. Staudenmaier made the call before check-calling 11,000 on the {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop as the {6-Hearts} was checked through on the turn.

When the river of the {9-Diamonds} landed, Staudenmaier pushed out a 35,000-chip bet which McClain called. Staudenmaier tabled his {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for a turned straight to collect the pot to move to 260,000 as McClain slipped to 80,000 in chips.

Kilpatrick Takes Out Charania

JC Tran opened with a raise to 7,500 from early position and Kory Kilpatrick called one seat over. Mohsin Charania squeezed all in for about 40,000 from the cutoff and action folded around back to Tran. He gave it up, but Kilpatrick called immediately with {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Charania tabled {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}, but missed when the board ran out {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}.

Affleck Out

Livello 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We caught up just in time to see the two players hands, which were {A-}{A-} for Matt Affleck and {Q-}{8-} for his opponent. The dealer shuffled the board together before we could fully see, but it appeared that Affleck's opponent hit a straight on the river to send Affleck to the rail.
