Negreanu's Rough Series Continues

Livello 16
Daniel Negreanu - gone
Daniel Negreanu - gone

Omaha-8

Daniel Negreanu raised on the button, and Chris Klodnicki defended his big blind. Klodnicki checked the {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop to Negreanu, who bet while almost singing, "betting, betting, betting." Klodnicki called to see the {j-Diamonds} turn and checked again. This time when Negreanu bet, Klodnicki raised. Uhoh.

"Ahhh, why, why, why?!?" Negreanu moaned. "I hate poker sometimes!" He kept talking to himself while playing with the few chips he had left. "Wait a minute. Wait a minute. You don't have to have all that straight stuff yet." Negreanu finally put all his chips in the middle, raising for less than a full bet. Klodnicki called, and Negreanu was right. He didn't have a straight. Klodnicki was still in the lead with {j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} for two pair and the best low draw.

"At least I still have outs," Negreanu said, asking the dealer to make the river a good one for his {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. He needed a king, ten, or deuce for the high half or a four for the low. Instead the {a-Diamonds} on the river gave the whole pot to Klodnicki. Negreanu tapped the table and rushed off to his stack in the $2,500 PLO/PLH event across the hall.
