More to Silverman

Livello 12

No-Limit Hold'em

Just a moment after that last hand, we picked up the action on fourth street as Michael Chow was putting out a bet of 1,600. The board showed {3-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {6-Hearts}, and Sam Silverman put in a raise to 6,000. Chow called, and the {3-Spades} completed the board. Chow checked, and Silverman (with those same shaky hands), made one last bet of 10,000. Chow only had 21,000 chips left, and he mulled it over for a long while before surrendering his cards into the muck.

D'Agostino Dominated

Brian Powell - all smiles now he's made his century!
Brian Powell - all smiles now he's made his century!

Stud 8/B

Brian Powell: {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} / {8-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} / {2-Spades}
John D'Agostino: {x-}{x-} / {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts} / {x-} MUCKED

Our reporter picked up the action from fourth street, but in terms of the action, it was the same all the way down to the river - D'Agostino led out and Powell called, then tabled his two pair at showdown. D'Agostino had nothing to chop with and threw his hand into the muck.

Powell's having a hard time trying to get his stack into order, as the chips just keep accumulating. We can safely say, however, that he's now the first player to have passed the 100K mark!

Mizrachi Back in Business

Limit Hold'em

We just managed to pick up the action between Michael Mizrachi and Rep Porter on a board that read {A-Clubs}{6-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, with all the money in the middle on the turn, just as the cards were being flipped up:

Mizrachi: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Porter: {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}

Despite hitting the {J-Diamonds} on the river, Porter was no good against Mizrachi's bottom set and "The Grinder" doubled through.

Violette Comes Up Roses

Livello 12
Cyndy Violette
Cyndy Violette

2-7 Triple Draw

We joined the pot just after the second draw as Matthew Woodward was making the big bet of 2,400. A player in the middle folded, but Cyndy Violette called, getting short on chips. She took one more card on the last draw, while Woodward stood pat. They both checked, and Woodward tabled his {j-}{8-}{7-}{5-}{3-}. Violette was drawing live with {7-}{5-}{3-}{2-}, and she squeezed her last card out. It was good. She slapped over the {10-Clubs}, and her ten-seven gives her the pot and a near-double back to 20,000.

Sung's Singing for his Supper

Limit Hold'em

The action folded around to Alexander Kostritsyn who raised from the cutoff before Steve Sung called from the big blind to make it heads-up to the flop of {6-Clubs}{8-Spades}{K-Hearts}. Sung bet and Kostritsyn called before both players checked the turn of the {4-Spades}.

Sung then led out on the river of the {7-Spades}, but this prompted Kostritsyn to kick his hand into the muck.

Heimiller Given the Ol' Heave-Ho

Dan Heimiller - Hi-ho, hi-ho, the man has gone busto ...

Limit Hold'em

On a flop that read {3-Spades}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, Zachary Fellows checked to Dan Heimiller who opened the betting. Fellows called, then led out again after the turn of the {K-Clubs}. Heimiller raised, but Fellows quickly reraised. Heimiller called all-in and the cards were tabled:

Heimiller: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Fellows: {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Down to just two outs, the river {Q-Clubs} was not one of them and Heimiller high-tailed it outta there after discovering that he was covered by just 100 chips. Fellows is now sitting on a stack worth more than 20,000.

Aguiar Steps into Aces

Livello 12

No-Limit Hold'em

Jonathan Aguiar is one of those recently eliminated players, and we had just walked up when it happened. Owais Ahmed opened to 1,475 under the gun, and Jonathan Aguiar three-bet shoved for about 15,600 from the button. In the small blind, Chris Wallace like what he saw enough to reraise all in over the top. Ahmed folded quickly, and the news was not good for the at-risk Aguiar.

Showdown
Aguiar: {Q-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}
Wallace: {A-Spades} {A-Clubs}

There was no help on board for either player as it came {J-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {4-Spades} to send Aguiar off to the exit. As he left, Ahmed made the comment that he was going to call with king-jack, and Aguiar seemed a mix of surprised, amused, and upset at the news.

Wallace is up to about 42,000 now.
