Kibrit Calls Vilkki Down, Rewarded On River

Livello 21 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

After the action was folded around to him in late position, chip leader Juha Vilkki opened for 36,000 and Rafe Kibrit made the call. The flop fell {2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Vilkki fired out a bet of 45,000, which Kibrit quickly called.

The turn card came {J-Clubs} and Vilkki continued with a bet of 145,000. Kibrit took his time with this decision, but eventually slid out two stacks to make the call.

River: {A-Hearts}

Vilkki was undeterred by the scare card and slid 280,000 into the middle. Kibrit snap-called and revealed the {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{J-Clubs} for trip aces on the river. Vilkki lost over 400,000 chips on this hand and will have to rebuild after his three-barreled betting failed to move Kibrit off of his hand.

Livello 20 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Stephen Wolfe
Stephen Wolfe

From the button, Rafe Kibrit raised to 28,000. Stephen Wolfe made the call in the big blind to see the flop come down {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. Both players checked.

The turn was the {6-Spades} and Wolfe fired 48,000. Kibrit made the call.

The river was the {6-Clubs} to pair the board and Wolfe fired 88,000 with 192,000 behind. Kibrit asked Wolfe how much he had behind and then raised the pot to put Wolfe all in. Wolfe began to tank. He tanked for the remaining seven minutes of the last level and about six more minutes into the unscheduled break. Eventually, he began talking out loud to try and get some sort of a reaction from Kibrit, but Kibrit wasn't moving a muscle. Everyone had left the stage except for the tournament announcer, the dealer and the two players involved in the hand while Wolfe tanked and tanked. Eventually, he folded his hand and Kibrit started to breathe again.

Six-Way Pot Goes to Patel

Livello 20 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

From under the gun, Stephen Wolfe limped in to start things off. That started a waterfall effect of Cody Munger limping in the next seat,. Jeff Sarwer following him and then Emil Patel joining the limp-fest from the button. Rafe Kibrit called from the small blind and Elie Payan checked his option in the big blind.

The six-way flop was {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} and action checked one by one all the way to Patel. He fired 42,000 and everyone folded.

Sarwer Shoves, Moves Israelashvili Off His Hand

Livello 20 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

After the action was folded around to him in the small blind, Jeff Sarwer limped in and Roland Israelashvili checked the action. The dealer spread a flop of {4-Spades}{K-Spades}{8-Hearts} across the table and Sarwer led out for a bet of 16,000. Israelashvili called and the turn card came {5-Hearts}.

After Sarwer fired a bet of 33,000 into the middle, Israelashvili calmly tossed a few chips worth 85,000 into the pot and stared straight at the board. Sarwer went deep into the tank and contemplated his next move for over three minutes, repeatedly glancing over at Israelashvili.

Eventually, the former chess master pushed his entire stack forward for a bet of nearly 350,000, which was enough to force Israelashvili all-in. The power move worked to perfection and Israelashvili tossed his cards into the muck. This pot boosted Sarwer's stack to 535,000 while Israelashvili dropped to 180,000 with the loss.
