Alexandre Luneau completed and was called by Alexander Kostritsyn and Jason Mercier. Luneau bet forth and fifth, the Russian folding on fifth by Mercier continued and also called a bet on sixth. The Frenchman checked on seventh and called when Mercier bet, the American turned over for a rivered flush to win the pot. Luneau was left with barely a couple of thousand chips remaining and was eliminated the next hand, along with Ali Eslami, by Jason Mercier.
We caught up with the action on fifth street where Hernan Novick checked, Fabrizio Gonzalez bet and Nick Schulman raised. Novick cold-called and Gonzalez re-raised all in. Schulman re-raised once more and Novick cold-called again. On sixth the action slowed down where Novick check-called Schulman’s bet. On seventh however, the action heated up again. Novick checked, Schulman raised, Novick re-raised, Schulman made it four bets and Novick called.
Schulman instantly turned over for rolled up sixes to start the hand that became quads by the end of it. Gonzalez revealed for a full house, jacks full of aces. Novick could only muster for a lower full house, threes over eights, and the worst hand in the pot as Gonzalez was eliminated and Schulman scooped.
Alexander Dovzhenko is the latest player to be eliminated, he couldn't even make a pair and Bertrand "ElkY' Grospellier's jacks were enough to win the pot
We missed the action but all we saw was Phil Laak make his exit as Men Nguyen raked in the chips from the previous pot. We can confirm that Laak has been eliminated.
Chau Giang had the bring in which had Jason Mercier in hysterics since he'd apparently had it in six of the last eight hands. Kostritsyn raised to two bets and Alexandre Luneau made it three bets, Giang called, as did Kostritsyn.
Giang paired his door card and began firing, Kostritsyn folded but Luneau called bets on every street on for Giang to show him on the end. Aces full invariably being good enough for the pot.
James Seely brought in, John Hennigan completed, Mike Sexton raised and the other two players called. On fourth it was checked to Sexton who bet and again both players called. Fifth got checked around and Hennigan bet on sixth once he paired. Seely called the bet while Sexton folded and Hennigan bet again on seventh which got Seely to fold as well.
Erick Lindgren check-called a bet on fourth street before leading out fifth with Hasting making the call. Both players checked on sixth before Lindgren led out on seventh and Hastings made the call. Lindgren turned over for eights full and Hastings nodded and mucked.
We found Justin Smith call Fabrizio Gonzalez’s bet on fifth and both players checked sixth. Gonzalez check-called Smith’s bet on seventh only to be shown the trip kings of Smith which were good as Gonzalez mucked.
Alex Kostritsyn is the first player to hit the 200,000 mark, sitting with about 210,000 after winning a hefty pot against Marco Liesy, who was eliminated shortly thereafter.
