We caught up to the action of a three way pot on the draw. Johnny Chan drew two cards while Chau Giang and PokerStars Team Pro Ville Wahlbeck each drew one. Wahlbeck was first to act and bet 1,600. Johnny Chan called and Giang folded.
Wahlbeck flipped over the nuts, and Chan stared at the cards for a few seconds before mucking his hand.
Steve Zolotow raised to 700 from the cutoff and was called by both David Baker on the button and Jean-Robert Bellande from the big blind.
Each player drew one card and Bellande and Zolowtow checked to Baker who bet 1,900. Bellande then went all in for 3,550 and Baker folded giving Bellande the win without a showdown.
2011 PCA Main Event Champion Galen Hall opened to 425 from under the gun, Daniel Alaei called in the hijack seat, and Chino Rheem popped it to 2,000 on the button. Hall moved all in for 3,325 total - less than an official raise - Alaei folded, and Rheem made the call.
Hall drew one:
Rheem drew two:
Rheem's ninety-seven was good, pushing his stack to 38,000 chips, while Hall was forced to cash in his last chip for 10,000.
Shawn Sheikhan raised to 600 and was called by Scott Seiver and Barry Greenstein before Tom Schneider re-raised to 3,000. Tom Dwan called all in for less, Sheikhan folded, Seiver called the 3,000 and Greenstein folded.
Schneider stood pat while both Dwan and Seiver drew one card. Schneider bet 6,000 and Seiver went into the tank before deciding to fold leaving Schneider and Dwan heads up. Schneider showed , Dwan mucked, and Seiver yelled "Jesus!" having obviously folded a better hand.
We're pretty sure Jesus wasn't involved in any way, but with registration open til the end of level four, you never know.
Doyle Brunson raised to 625 from under the gun and was called by both Eli Elezra and Chad Brown. The player in the big blind then raised to 4,000 and Brunson re-raised to 9,050. Both Elezra and Brown folded and the big blind called.
The big blind drew one card and Brunson stood pat. Brunson showed which was good enough to win the pot.
Tom Dwan raised to 500 from under the gun and was called by Shawn Sheikhan (hijack), Scott Seiver (cutoff), and Barry Greenstein (small blind). Sheikhan drew one while the other three players each drew two cards. Greenstein checked, Dwan bet 2,000, Sheikhan called, and both Seiver and Greenstein folded.
