The Jon Spinks Post-Dinner Show

Livello 5 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Jonathan Spinks
Jonathan Spinks

Other than a three way checked down pot on a board of a {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} that was won by Andrew Badecker's {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, the other three pots have all gone to Jon Spinks.

He called a 40,000 raise from Erik Cajelais and bet 53,000 to win the pot when Cajelais checked the {J-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop.

Spinks followed this up by raising to 42,000 and then moving all in when Dan Kelly made it 108,000 in the small blind, eliciting a snap-fold from the youngster.

Finally Spinks opened from UTG+1 to 42,000 and Cajelais called in the big blind only for the latter to check-fold when Spinks bet 54,000 on the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop.

Jon Spinks opened to 33,000 from UTG and it was passed around to Joseph Webber in the big blind who moved all in for 605,000. Spinks took a deep breath, thought for a moment and made the call.

Spinks: {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Webber: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

The flop gave Spinks an almost certain lock coming {J-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, Webber needed a ten and nothing else but the {K-Spades} turn and {6-Diamonds} river didn't help him and he went out in 8th place. Spinks, winning the huge pot is now join chip leader.

Spinks Beats Kelly

Livello 4 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Jon Spinks raised to 33,000 from the cutoff and Dan Kelly defended in the big blind. Both players checked the {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop before Kelly led out for 60,000 on the {4-Clubs} turn, Spinks made the call and both players checked the {J-Hearts} river.

Kelly showed {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} but Spinks had him dominated with {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} to win the pot.

Action, Action, Action

Livello 4 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

It has been an action day so far and the final table has been no different.

In one particular hand, Andrew Badecker raised to 27,000 from under-the-gun with a call from Makowsky and a re-raise to 85,000 from Jonathan Spinks. The action was back to Badecker and he re-raised to 175,000. Daniel Makowsky who had only called to start the hand, then re-raised again to 350,000 inciting insta-folds from Spinks and Badecker. Makowsky scooped the huge pot without ever seeing a flop.

A few hands later, Joseph Webber raised it up to 50,000 from middle position with a call from Andrew Badecker in the cutoff. On the flop of {Q-Spades}{6-Spades}{A-Clubs} Webber bet 105,000 and Badecker smooth called.

The turn came {3-Spades} and Webber bet out again, this time 225,000. Again, Badecker just called.

The river was a {5-Diamonds} and Webber slowed down with a check. Badecker took the opportunity to make a big bet of 590,000 and Webber folded to give Badecker the massive pot

Vitaly Lunkin - Russian to Victory?

More chips for Vitaly Lunkin, who opened under the gun and had Dan Kelly call him in the big blind. Kelly check-called bets of 28,000 on the {J-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop, then 52,000 on the {A-Spades} turn and finally 104,000 on the {7-Diamonds} river.

Lunkin quietly turned over {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} for flopped top set and shipped the pot.
