The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise $5,300 Main Event kicked off on Saturday at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas, and officials took the opportunity to reveal to players what they’ll receive it they’re fortunate enough to finish as the last player standing.

In addition to a seven-figure payday, the winner will receive a new WSOP Paradise Main Event bracelet that is hand-crafted by Jostens and features an island spin on the classic WSOP Main Event bracelet. Custom made from 10-karat yellow gold, just like the summer’s trophy, the WSOP Paradise Main Event bracelet weighs nearly 95 grams and is hand-set with 494 genuine blue topaz round stones.

“The WSOP Main Event bracelet is considered the richest trophy in sports, and our first Main Event bracelet for WSOP Paradise puts a fun spin on the trophy’s legacy,” said WSOP Vice President Gregory Chochon. “This is the World Series of Poker, we’re global and need a proper World Championship trophy to represent the newest home we’ve added to the series. Jostens delivered on that vision once again, and we can’t wait to see who takes home the first-ever WSOP Paradise Main Event bracelet.”

Masashi Oya jammed the small blind and Quan Zhou deliberated for his remaining stack of about 3,600,000 in the big blind.

"Gamble!" Zhou eventually said as he put a stack of chips over the line.

Quan Zhou: K7
Masashi Oya: Q10

Zhou was slightly ahead, but the J108 flop left him needing help. The 9 turn improved Oya to a queen-high straight and Zhou needed a queen for a better straight, but the 10 river bricked out and Zhou was eliminated in fourth place for $976,000

Sturm With Another Big River Raise

Livello 20 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Action folded to Leon Sturm on the button who raised to 1,000,000. Masashi Oya came along from the small blind to see the flop come 35J.

Both players checked their action to see the 7 hit the turn.

Oya opted to lead out and did so with a bet of 650,000. Sturm made the call and both players watched as the 7 fell on the river.

Oya counted out chips and led out once again, this time for 800,000. Sturm paused briefly before counting out chips and putting in a raise to 4,200,000.

Oya wasn't immediate in making the call, but did eventually put the chips in the pot only to see Sturm turn over A7 before releasing his cards to the muck and sending the pot in Sturm's direction.

Jason Koon moved all in for about 5,900,000 in the cutoff and Nick Schulman called all in for 5,700,000 on the button.

Nick Schulman: AJ
Jason Koon: KJ

Schulman was dominating as the 652 flop kept him ahead. However, the K spiked the turn to put Koon in front, and the 2 completed the board to eliminate Schulman on the unfortunate runout in fifth place for $731,000.

Schulman Finds Fortunate Double Through Sturm

Livello 20 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Nick Schulman shoved all in from the small blind for 2,650,000 and Leon Sturm called in the big blind.

Nick Schulman: K3
Leon Sturm: A10

The AK9 flop gave both players a pair while Sturm stayed ahead, but the 3 fell on the turn to give Schulman two pair. The 7 river changed nothing and Schulman secured the double.

Action folded to Nick Schulman in the small blind who came in for a raise to 1,100,000. Leon Sturm defended his big blind and came along to a flop of JK4.

Both players opted to check their action and bring the 3 out on the turn.

Schulman paused briefly before counting out a bet worth 875,000. Sturm made the call to see the Q fall on the river.

Schulman took a moment, counted out his chips and eventually decided to bet out 500,000. Sturm wasn't quick to call, though, and ended up making a raise in the amount of 3,250,000.

Schulman counted down his stack again, used a timebank and after verifying the raise amount, put out the call to see Sturm turn over the K3. Schulman quickly mucked his cards and the pot was awarded to Sturm.
