There will be a slight break before coverage resumes with coverage of Day 1c.
2023 RGPS Tunica
In a flurry of all-ins, several players busted near the bubble resulting in 31 players remaining which means play has stopped for the morning flight as the surviving players bag.
Official Day 1b Chip Counts will be released shortly so stay tuned!

After an open to 18,000, Brian Winter three-bet to 90,000 and then Dylan Lemery shoved for around 180,000 total.
The action folded back around to Winter who quickly made the call to put Lemery at risk.
Dylan Lemery: K♦K♣
Brian Winter: A♠A♥
Lemery would need a lot of help to stay alive, and the flop of 10♦7♦4♠ provided a glimmer of hope as he held the king of diamonds, but that was short-lived as the turn came the Q♣. He was then drawing only to a king but the river 9♣ failed to provide and he was eliminated close to the bubble while Winter raked in the huge pot to put him at the top of the counts.

On a heads-up flop of K♥J♠J♣, Carl Masters checked over to Jeff Burns who bet 15,000. Masters just smooth-called and the two went to the turn 4♣, where Masters checked once more.
Burns then bet out another 15,000 but this time Masters check-raised to 35,000, to which Burns responded by moving all in.
Masters then couldn't get his chips in fast enough and tabled K♣K♦ for top boats versus the Q♥J♥ of Burns for just trip jacks. The river 2♥ failed to provide Burns with the case jack for quads and the monster pot was shipped to Masters to put him in the chip lead.

After an open and a call, the middle-positioned player moved all in for 61,000, and then Sanh Vuong shoved over the top for around 150,000.
Opponent: 9♠9♣
Sanh Vuong: 10♦10♠
Vuong was ecstatic about his superior holding deep in the tournament, and the runout of J♦Q♥5♣5♥6♠ was putre for him as he won the pot with his tens while the opposing player was sent to the rail.

After an open to 8,000 and a shove immediately after to 16,000, Kartheek Chintaguntla made the call to put the jammer at risk while the rest of the table folded.
Opponent: 2♠2♣
Kartheek Chintaguntla: A♦J♦
For a second it looked as if the pocket deuces were going to hold on the runout of Q♥6♦3♠6♠, but as always, the pesky A♣ hit on the river to give the win to Chintaguntla and sent the player to the rail.

Due to a mishap in the structure, the levels post-registration are intended to be 40 minutes in length with breaks every three levels, but since yesterday's flight had no changes, the same rules will be applied even with 30-minute levels.
