Alajmi Picks Up Where He Left Off

Abdullah Alajmi was late coming back from break and missed the first hand. He then took his seat and opened right away to 450,000 under the gun with 2♠2♥. Baurzhan Akimov called in the big blind.

The flop came Q♠4♣3♥ and Alajmi fired out 1,200,000. Akimov quickly folded K♥6♦.

The next hand, Simone Andrian raised to 400,000 under the gun with A♠9♠ and Alajmi defended K♣7♠.

The K♠6♥4♥ flop gave Alajmi top pair and both players checked. Alajmi led out for 800,000 on the Q♠ turn and Andrian called with a flush draw.

The river was the 10♣ and Alajmi bet 1,500,000. Andrian missed his draw and gave up his hand as Alajmi added to his massive chip lead.

Abdullah Alajmi raised to 300,000 in the cutoff, George Panagides three-bet to 800,000 on the button, and Alajmi called.

The flop came A♥K♣9♦ and Panagides bet 550,000. Alajmi called and the 8♣ fell on the turn.

Panagides then bet another 1,250,000 as Alajmi cut out a stack of his green 500,000 chips and shuffled them for a minute as he burned through three time banks before moving all in. Panagides also tanked for a few seconds until deciding to call for his last 3,600,000.

Panagides showed A♦J♥ for top pair, but Alajmi turned over 9♥8♥, continuing his incredible run by turning two pair. The Q♠ river failed to save Panagides and he became Alajmi's latest victory as the Kuwait native controls nearly half of the chips in play.
