It folded to Chris Brewer in the small blind, who announced his all-in to put Pieter Aerts in the big blind at risk for his stack of 580,000. However, Aerts immediately called and a showdown was ordered.
Pieter Aerts: A♣Q♥
Chris Brewer: 9♠6♠
Neither player hit a piece of the 4♣8♥K♦7♦J♠ board, resulting in a double-up for Aerts.

Thomas Santerne raised his small blind to 280,000, receiving a call from Duco ten Haven in the big blind. Santerne then bet 150,000 on the K♣9♥2♠ flop and Ten Haven called once more.
Both players checked the 4♠ turn before Santerne put in a T-100,000 chip on the A♠ river. Ten Haven tossed in a quick call, but mucked his cards once Santerne showed 5♦4♥ for fourth pair.
On the final hand before the break, Chris Brewer and Pieter Aerts folded in the cutoff and in the button respectively, leading Thomas Santerne to make it 280,000 on the small blind.
Duco ten Haven called in the big blind, and called Santerne's 160,000-chip continuation-bet on the 2♣Q♥7♣ flop as well.
Santerne slowed down once the 6♦ turn hit the table and checked to Ten Haven. Ten Haven took the opportunity to make a bet of 250,000, which was called by Santerne.
Another check followed on the 9♣ river, after which Ten Haven bet 750,000. Santerne thought about it for a bit before flicking in a call.
Ten Haven showed J♣10♠ for jack-high, and Santerne showed he was playing the hero with A♥8♣ for a correct call with ace-high.
He went into the break with a vast chip lead, while Ten Haven would come back with 19 big blinds.
Chris Brewer opened from early position to 160,000. Action folded around to Markkos Ladev who jammed all in from the button for 1,300,000. Brewer asked for a count and made the call.
Markkos Ladev: 3♠3♥
Chris Brewer: A♦J♠
Brewer took the lead on the A♠Q♥9♦ flop leaving Ladev drawing slim. The 8♦ didn't bring the three that the Estonian needed and neither did the 4♥. Ladev tapped the table and said good game to his fellow competitors before departing to the cash desk.
Sirzat Hissou threw in his last 75,000 chips from the cutoff, after which Pieter Aerts limped in from the small blind for 80,000. Thomas Santerne checked in the big blind and the 5♣7♠2♣ flop was fanned by the dealer.
Aerts and Santerne both checked, as did they on the Q♦ turn. The 8♥ river saw Aerts bet 100,000 chips and a quick fold from Santerne.
Aerts showed Q♣9♣ for top pair, which outclassed the A♦5♠ Hissou played.
Hissou left the tournament area as the first casualty of Day 3, receiving €189,600 for his efforts.
Action folded to Markkos Ladev who bet 510,000 from the button leaving a 100,000 chip behind. Sirzat Hissou asked for the extra chip and pushed Ladev all in from the small blind.
Markkos Ladev: K♠7♠
Sirzat Hissou: 9♦9♥
The 10♠7♣6♥ flop was safe for Hissou's pocket pair, but the A♠ presented Ladev with a flush draw. He got there on the river with the 5♠ to continue to regrow his stack.
Chris Brewer raised his button to 200,000, after which Thomas Santerne made it 700,000 to go from the big blind. Brewer slid forward a stack of chips for a call, and a 10♦9♣10♠ flop was dealt.
Santerne continued for a small sizing of 200,000, which Brewer called. Santerne then made a significantly bigger bet of 850,000 on the 7♥ turn, resulting in an instant fold from Brewer.
Action folded around to Pieter Aerts who opened to 160,000. Markkos Ladev went all in for 195,000 from the button. The rest of the players folded and Aerts made the call.
Ladev immediately improved on the 3♠Q♠6♥ board and held through the A♠ turn and 10♣ river.
