Only a few days remain for the 2024 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) hosted by Casino Barcelona. While the Main Event is already on Day 5, down to 40 players from a field of 1,975, another prestigious tournament, the €10,300 EPT High Roller, is set to begin today at 12:30 p.m. local time.

Ka Kwan Lau overcame a field of 475 runners in this event last year, taking home €910,400 after a dominant final table performance. Other players at that final table included Vladas Tamasauskas and Alexandre Reard.

Day 1 kicks off at 12:30 p.m. local time. Players begin with 50,000 chips, and the blinds will start at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. The first day will feature ten 60-minute levels. Only two entries are allowed, and late registration will close at the start of Day 2. One reentry is permitted, and there will be a short break after every two levels, with a 75-minute dinner break after Level 6 at approximately 7:10 p.m.

Shot clocks will be implemented from the start, with each player receiving four time banks. Players will have 15 seconds to act on their first decision and then 30 seconds to act on each subsequent decision in that hand. Players seated at the first hand of every odd blind level will receive an extra time bank.

As always, stay tuned to PokerNews as we bring you all the action for this event from the moment cards are in the air until a winner is crowned.
