However, the stand-up trick seemed to work for the Helin as the K♦ rolled off on the river, which gave him a pair of kings and earned him a double-up.

Compte then check-shoved, which put Zabrodotskyi to the test for his remaining stack of around 60,000. The clock was called as the decision was taking too long and with just a few seconds of the countdown remaining, Zabrodotskyi called.
Compte confidently tabled J♦10♠ for the nuts, and Zabrodotskyi showed he had made a light call with Kx10x for a pair of kings.
