We've just learned that we'll play on down to 24 players or until the end of Level 21, whichever comes first. Either way, we'll be done at midnight at the latest.
Petr Jaros is not having a good time with Mike McDonald at his table. McDonald doubled through him just before the dinner break, and the two men have gone at it again. In the meantime, McDonald has continued to accumulate, and this hand would only further that trend.
The pot began with a raise to 22,000 from McDonald in late position, and Jaros flatted from the small blind. Heads up, the dealer spread out , and Jaros check-called 27,000. He check-called another 66,000 after the turn, and he check-tanked on the river. McDonald put him to the test with one more bet of 128,000, and it would be several agonizing minutes before Jaros made the call.
McDonald showed down the same pocket aces that had bitten Jaros earlier. This time it was , and it was plenty good enough to win the pot.
"Timex" is closing in on a million chips fast now, four years to the week after his first career cash at EPT4 Prague.

Under the gun, Patrick Renkers opened to 20,000, and Dennis Bejedal flatted in position. Heads up, the two of them took a flop, and Renkers continued out with another 24,000. Bejedal popped it up to 60,000 total, and Renkers made the call to proceed.
That brought them to the turn where Renkers check-called another 108,000. The river brought the and one last check from Renkers, and Bejedal took his cue to make his bet of 285,000. Renkers cut down his stack, then announced a surprise check-raise all in. Bejedal looked absolutely stricken, and he was facing a shove of 732,000 total chips. He had that covered, and he made a frustrated call to put Renkers at risk.
But the Dutchman had it. Renkers tabled for the stone cold nuts, and Bejeadal was less than thrilled. He mentioned that he had flopped a set with pocket queens, but he spun them into the muck and counted out his debt. When he paid it off, he was left with just about 340,000.
Renkers has skyrocketed to the top position, stacking up 1.852 million chips to open up a gap ahead of the pack.

In middle position, Ari Engel opened with a raise to 20,000, and the table passed around to the blinds. In the small, Stefano Demontis shoved in for 188,000 total, and that sent Engel deep into the tank. He had less than 300,000 total to start the hand himself, and he spent a few long minutes deliberating before plunking the call into the pot.
Showdown

Demontis:
After fumbling the flop, the dealer grabbed it back and re-spread it: . That was a fine flop for Engel, but he still had to fade the flush outs and the last two jacks in deck.
The turn and river came blanks, though, the and , and Engel's aces earn him the knockout.
"Very nice call," said an unimpressed Demontis. He stood up, swigged down the last of his coffee, and said, "Bye-bye."
